Our Team

Ken’s love of teaching and mathematics has him working directly with students and parents again after thirty years in a variety of leadership roles in education. Ken has served as a middle school and junior high teacher, building and district administrator, teacher educator, school improvement consultant, and CEO of educational non-profits. In leadership roles, Ken made curriculum fit the needs of the students and helped teachers personalize instruction. Ken has the depth of experience needed to help each student catch up, keep up, or get ahead in math. Ken’s leadership in staff development, school improvement, and master’s degree programs for teachers helps him develop great Mathnasium instructors and a great learning environment. He insures students experience the very best of the highly effective Mathnasium Method. Through Ken’s work in public and charter schools, he understands the important role parents have as a student’s first teachers. He works to develop a true partnership among the student, parents, school, and Mathnasium staff, providing the support a student needs to improve math understanding and achievement. His experience in developing positive learning environments helps students enjoy learning math. The Mathnasium result is that students not only make impressive gains in math, but often improve their self confidence, homework habits, and attitudes toward school.
