Greg earned his Master’s Degree in Mathematics Education at Widener University in 1993, where he was inspired by an approach to math instruction that emphasized conceptual understanding. He has diverse experience as a classroom teacher of grades 7 through 12 in both private and public school settings. Greg views Mathnasium as a remarkable model for teaching kids math. “Having been a classroom teacher, I know that in most cases teachers are doing everything they can within the constraints of their situation. But many students simply need more one-on-one instruction to excel. The Mathnasium method achieves this and much more, due to the richness and breadth of the Mathnasium curriculum. It really is the ideal adjunct for a student’s daily classroom instruction, whether the child is struggling or advanced.”

Greg and his wife, Jeanne, a Ph.D. chemistry professor at Eastern University, know that early exposure to math concepts pave the way for a lifelong love of the subject. So it is no surprise that they regularly engage in “talking math” with their 10-year-old son, Bryce, and 6-year-old Jared!
