Kapil holds bachelor's degrees in science from Chapman University and a master's degree from UCLA. He has extensive experience in math and science education. Kapil co-authored an experiential math and science program for middle school children where basic principles are demonstrated by using ordinary objects. Kapil was also instrumental in developing technology programs involving math, chemistry and physics for the high school student. "Using examples from a child's real world," says Kapil, "is one of the best ways to help them visualize complex mathematical ideas." Kapil lives in San Clemente with his wife Geetika who is pursing a Ph.D. at UC Irvine.

Lisa graduated with a business management degree from San Diego State University and then worked in the computer manufacturing field for over 10 years as a Materials Manager. In the last 5 years she has been teaching in the Capistrano Unified School District prior to joining the team at Mathnasium. Lisa lives in Mission Viejo and is the mother of 2 children who graduated from the local high school and are currently enrolled at USC and SDSU.
