Kevin

Lead Instructor
Kevin is a graduate from California State University Monterey Bay who majored in Computer Science with a concentration in Game Development.While Kevin's academic focus has been on coding and software development, he's also cultivated a diverse set of interests and skills outside of the tech realm. From bowling, working out, watching movies, and playing video games, Kevin thrives on staying active and engaged in various activities. He has always considered math a relevant subject in his life as it pertains to his future career in game development.

Anirudh

Lead Instructor
Anirudh is a recent Computer Science graduate and is experienced in teaching any level of math, from counting to calculus. As Lead Instructor, he has helped many students not just succeed at math, but enjoy it too. His passion for teaching and years of childcare experience makes him a great addition to the team. Outside of Mathnasium he enjoys gaming, learning the acoustic guitar, and cooking.

Aida

Instructor
Aida is a junior at University Preparatory Academy. She likes math because it's challenging and fun to work through problems. Aida enjoys working with Mathnasium, she can work with children and have fun! Outside of Mathnasium, she likes to draw anime characters!

Kay

Instructor
Kayla (Kay) is a junior at Oak Grove High School. At Mathnasium, she loves interacting with the students and watching them grow as they learn and understand more about mathematical concepts. She enjoys teaching math as there are multiple ways to come to a solution, making it both challenging and rewarding. Outside of Mathnasium, Kay enjoys playing tennis, watching k-dramas, and drinking lots of boba!

Aansh

Instructor
Aansh Khanal is currently a sophomore at Valley Christian High School in San Jose. Aansh is fond of math because it relies on reasoning. He loves working at Mathnasium because of how he can watch students problem solve, and how they persevere through the most difficult topics. Outside of school, Aansh loves to make music, especially on his alto saxophone. He is also part of the Performing Indoor Ensemble marching band at Valley Christian High School. He also enjoys debate; he can be found in almost every debate tournament!

Ayaan

Instructor
Ayaan Vaswani a sophomore at Bellarmine College Preparatory in San Jose. Ayaan loves to teach kids math, as he understands how important math is to a student’s academic journey. Transforming a begrudging experience into something kids look forward to is incredibly important to him, as he understands first hand the stress of struggling in subjects like math. In his free time, he loves to go to the gym, play basketball, run, and do photography.

Nhu

Instructor
Nhu is a senior at Oak Grove High School and plans to study Environmental Science in college. Math has always been a subject she enjoys-- she finds it easier to work with numbers and likes exploring the many ways to approach math problems. To Nhu, the feeling of solving a difficult math problem is an accomplishment equivalent to a student understanding her explanations. The process of teaching is meaningful to her. In her free time, she loves to read, learn new skills and languages, or take a good nap.

Sebastian

Instructor
Sebastian is a senior at Oak Grove High School and plans to study Literature or English in college. Teaching has always been a true passion for him, and he loves tutoring students in math specifically. Outside working at Mathnasium, you can find Sebastian playing badminton, watching K-Dramas, or reading a novel.

Sekhar Potluri

Center Owner
Sekhar has always loved math and enjoys being around kids and helping them learn and enjoy math. He has a bachelor’s degree in Engineering and spent 18 years in IT, Retail Management, and other business ventures, but he always wanted to spend the rest of his life doing what he loves the most: teaching children. Mathnasium provided the perfect opportunity to pursue his passion, and he now owns four Mathnasium centers. He believes that the Mathnasium method of teaching math can change a child’s attitude towards math and help develop a deep understanding of number sense. Sekhar and his team at Mathnasium of Santa Teresa are committed to helping children grow their interest and confidence in math and are very proud to bring the Mathnasium Method to your children in South San Jose.

Courtney

Marketing Coordinator
Courtney is currently attending San Jose State University, as a Design Studies major! She is expected to graduate in May of 2024. She is a new addition to the marketing team as of October 2023. She has prior work experience in an educational setting, as a Academic Operations Administrator. In her free time, she enjoys playing with her pets, trying new foods, and shopping!

Jason

Marketing Coordinator
Jason is currently attending San Jose State University studying Marketing! He is expected to graduate in December of 2025. He is the newest addition to the marketing team as of April 2024. He has prior experience in educational settings, marketing, admin tools, and project management. Jason enjoys going on hikes and hanging out with friends!
