Instructor
I have degrees in Computer Science and Actuarial Science and I have Work experience with several major financial companies. Growing up I excelled in math and it allows me to further my pursuits in Computer Science and Actuarial Science in launching jobs in the tech and Finance industries. Math and its applications are everywhere in daily life and in all kinds of disciplines so I am passionate about helping students to excel in math early on in life so they can establish good foundations to succeed in all aspects of life especially in making good financial decisions. Hobbies: Listening to music, solving puzzles and approaching nature. Favorite Math Joke: Just like there are different paths to reach the top of the mountain, if one is willing to be creative, there can also be multiple ways to solve a math problem.

I have recently transferred to SDSU and am currently pursuing a degree in Paleontology. Science and Math is how we appreciate the beauty of the natural world around us. I fell in love with them at a young age. Sharing that by making the STEM fields exciting and approachable for everyone but especially for children, is something I hope to achieve. Hobbies: Reading, Cooking, Rocks, and General Nerdiness Favorite Math Joke: Are monsters good at math? Not unless you count dracula.

I am a high school junior at Helix Charter High School. I am currently taking AP Calculus BC. I love math and really enjoy learning how it’s used in the real world. I thought working here would be a great job since I’m doing something I love to do. Hobbies: Watching movies, playing video games, hanging out with friends Math Joke: Math puns are the first sine of madness.

I am married (to Lauren), and I’m a retired systems engineer and Anglican minister. I have always loved math and enjoy helping others understand its (sometimes) confusing principles. Teaching students at Mathnasium helps keep my mind sharp and gives me the opportunity to help many young learners. I am a software project manager who attributes her success to her access to quality education, particularly math. Owning and running Mathnasium of Santee is my way of doing my bit to extend the same privilege and opportunities that I recieved as a child, to the next generation, for excelling in math

I am currently a finance major at San Diego State University. I have worked summer programs for middle and elementary school kids, and I have always enjoyed teaching new skills to kids. Math has always been my favorite subject, so working at Mathnasium is perfect! I hope to help students grow in both their knowledge and their love for math. I am an undergraduate student at San Diego State University and pursuing my B.S. in Chemistry. I’ve been volunteering with all age-ranges of kids for over 5 years, and love being able to help students grasp topics better. Math can be a tricky subject but is so rewarding and even fun when you understand it! Hobbies: Reading, running, drinking tea! I am a UCSD Visual Arts graduate aspiring to create a career in the fields of illustration, animation, and to be an artist for a video game studio. I have been a tutor of middle/high school students since September of 2023, and have found that I enjoy teaching. I have always had an aptitude for mathematics, and I want to better teach students in a way that will get them to like the concepts and the act of learning. Hobbies: Drawing, Playing video games, Painting Enjoys: Organizing things, driving, puzzles Favorite Math Joke: I met someone who loved math but hated fractions. As a result, he always felt really divided.

About Me: I am a current student at Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego studying Mathematics with a focus in secondary education. This is my first official job, but I have previously been a volunteer Teacher’s Aide for A.P. Calculus AB and worked with students via my high school’s peer counseling program. I hope to help impart the love of math to those younger than me.
