Our staff is built to teach each student individually, to develop the skills they need to thrive in mathematics, and to foster a love of learning.

Atul

Lead Instructor
Hey, I'm Atul. Initially, I didn't think I would enjoy teaching at Mathnasium as much as I actually do. I started teaching simply because I believe myself to be good at math and wanted to gain some experience with teaching. However, soon after I started, I discovered how much I actually enjoy working with students, and I always enjoy the time I spend helping students gain a better understanding of a subject that is required for them to be able to reach the goals they aspire to achieve. I myself aspire to be an astrophysicist and understand the importance of math in so many careers. I absolutely love space and want to dedicate my whole life to it, along with my passion for learning new things. In addition to that, I also have a variety of hobbies, such as playing volleyball and badminton, in addition to my love for binge-watching shows and anime. I love working with kids because I often get along with them, and it leads to great interactions that I cherish, in addition to teaching and helping them with their understanding of math.

Shayda

Instructor
Hi, I'm Shayda Torab. I am currently a senior at Brookwood High School. I enjoy tutoring math because I believe that learning is extremely valuable. It's rewarding to understand something yourself, but it's even more fulfilling to teach someone else something that you've learned. I firmly believe that math is essential for everyone to learn, regardless of the field or career they may wish to pursue, as math is omnipresent in our lives. Therefore, there is intrinsic value in teaching it. As for my hobbies, I play tennis and engage in various art projects. I also dabble in baking and gardening from time to time. One of my immediate future goals is to effectively manage the college application process and gain admission to the colleges of my choice. I understand that this won't be an easy journey, but the continued pursuit of knowledge will make it all worthwhile!

Joshua

Lead Instructor
Hey, I'm Joshua (I don't go by Josh). I enjoy tutoring in math because it's enjoyable to converse with different students, and I've always found it fulfilling to explain concepts I understand to those who may not, regardless of their age. I've had a passion for math since childhood, as my parents greatly emphasized its importance. Some of my hobbies include playing badminton and watching anime. My future goal is to graduate from Georgia Tech and secure a cybersecurity job.

Reanna

Instructor
Hi, I am Reanna. I enjoy tutoring in math because it was once the subject I struggled with the most, and it was only through receiving math tutoring that I improved. That's why I want to pay it forward by helping someone else. In my free time, I read both fiction and nonfiction novels and create friendship bracelets. One of my goals is to regain mastery of Geometry and Trigonometry topics by the end of the year.

Sameh

Lead Instructor
Hi, I'm Sameh; some people call me Sam. I enjoy tutoring math because I grew up with great teachers and family members who made me fall in love with math, and I hope to do the same for the next generations. I believe anyone can excel at and develop a passion for math; they just need a good instructor who can motivate them and help them understand. I also believe that learning math helps build problem-solving skills, which can be applied in all aspects of life. Some of my hobbies include creating digital art, reading manga, and learning new things in general using the internet. One of my long-term goals is to learn, research, and hopefully teach the Ainu language. I am deeply interested in both the people and the language and want to contribute to the preservation of their culture and language.

Vishnu

Instructor
Hi! I'm Vishnu, a computer science student at Georgia State University. I myself wasn't exactly enamored with math as a young child, but exploring the subject's implications as a motorsports fan and car enthusiast—such as how Formula One cars generate enough downforce to take sharp corners at speeds as fast as 220 MPH—piqued my interest in the subject. I'd love to facilitate the same process of discovery in other students, which is why I enjoy tutoring in math. In my free time, I love to play table tennis, get outside and ride my bike, and listen to music. In the future, I hope to put my math and computer science skills to work as an engineer in the automotive industry.

Yordanos

Instructor
Hey, I'm Yordanos! I love tutoring kids in math because I adore children and the energy they bring, and I see math as a kind of universal language. Some of my fondest childhood memories involve spending time with my dad doing math problems, so I view it as a way to connect with people. A couple of my hobbies include playing soccer, creating visual art and music, and cooking/baking. One of my future goals is to secure an internship at an architectural firm next semester to further develop my knowledge in architectural design. Hopefully, this experience will reinforce my desire for a career in this field before I start college!

Anna

Instructor
Hey, I'm Anna. I enjoy tutoring math because it makes me feel happy. I'm a gamer, particularly drawn to cozy indie games, and I play a wide variety of them. I'm also an avid reader, with interests spanning from fantasy to romance novels. One of my goals is to hopefully become a dungeon master for a game of Dungeons and Dragons in the near future.

Sharah

Instructor
Hi! My name is Sharah. I enjoy tutoring math because I love helping students understand concepts and excel. Some of my hobbies include bicycling and watching movies. One of my goals is to explore the Atlanta city!

Our Mathnasium Mission

Teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it. Math can change their lives, and they can change the world.

What I love about Mathnasium is the ability to teach problem-solving skills and make math make sense, while also making a student smile.
