Our staff is built to teach each student individually, to develop the skills they need to thrive in mathematics, and to foster a love of learning.

Peter

Lead Instructor
Peter is a graduate of St. Charles North and is currently attending Elgin Community College in pursuit of a degree in mathematics. He has taken Calculus III and AP Statistics. Peter's favorite math class was Calculus I, II, and III. His favorite part of math is finding patterns in uncommon places. During Peter's senior year of high school he spent his study hall time tutoring in the math lab.

Daniel

Lead Instructor
Daniel is a recent graduate from Olivet Nazarene University with a major in computer science and a minor in math. He has always enjoyed math and the patterns he can find using math in everyday situations. He loves algebra and discrete math, and connecting them to programming. In his free time, he loves to code, work on his website, and play video games.

Max

Instructor
Max is a Junior at St. Charles North High School currently enrolled in AP Statistics and AP Calculus BC. He enjoys playing the piano and guitar, and plays piano for the Jazz Workshop at North High School. Max wants to be a computer programmer in the future, and design video games for a living. He’s always enjoyed math and has been in the school’s math team throughout all of middle and high school. He loves tutoring people because he enjoys seeing people progress with his help.

Will

Instructor
Will is a graduate of St. Charles North High School and is attending Northern Illinois University to study Accounting. Will's favorite subject in school has always been math and he wants others to enjoy it, too!

Alyssa

Instructor
Alyssa is a senior at St. Charles North High School, as well as a dual-credit student at Elgin Community College. She plans on transferring to DePaul University to study Communications and Film/TV. Her favorite topics in math are algebra and statistics. What she enjoys most about Mathnasium is working with the kids and being able to watch them succeed in math.

Shayla

Instructor
Shayla is a junior at St. Charles North High School and she is currently taking AP Calculus BC. She is also a part of the Math Team and Math National Honor Society. She has always loved math since she was a child. She enjoys tutoring because she likes to help people and share her love for math with others. Shayla wants to go into medicine in the future. In her free time, she plays basketball, watches NBA and NFL, and listens to music. She also enjoys computer programming.

Leslie

Instructor
Leslie is a senior at North High School and is currently in Calculus 3. She enjoys painting and playing the piano and clarinet, and is a drum major for the marching band. In college, she plans on majoring in astrophysics. Leslie enjoys tutoring since she has always enjoyed math and appreciates the opportunity to help others with it!
