Our Team

Vane Lucas, Owner/Center Director

Vane holds a BSE in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Princeton University and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. During his career, he has worked as a heat transfer engineer for IBM, a strategy consultant to leading financial institutions and he spent 17 years as the head of consumer strategy for Bank of Oklahoma.

Vane has loved math since he was a child and always dreamed of teaching math sometime in his life. In addition, he’s always viewed mentoring and teaching as a key part of his job and his life. He has always mentored younger employees under his supervision, he has taught Sunday School for several years, he coached youth sports, and tutored middle school and high school math students.

Vane and his wife Ginger have a grown son, David, and a dachshund. Vane has traveled to all 50 states and 12 countries. He loves reading, movies, computers and woodworking. Vane serves on the Board of the Friends of the Tulsa City-County Library and he has been a contestant on Jeopardy!

Jenni Knier, Instructor
Jenni grew up in Minnesota near the Mall of America. She earned her Elementary Education/Special Education degree in 2008 from Oral Roberts University and has been working as a teacher in Oklahoma since then. She currently works in Sand Springs teaching twenty-eight amazing 5th graders. She loves working with kids and young adults, and her passion is to see them become successful individuals. When she is not teaching at school or at Mathnasium, she reads, volunteers at church, relaxes with a movie and a cup of coffee, and spends time with friends and family.
Ashley Sweeney, Instructor
Ashley grew up near Kansas City and was valedictorian of her high school class. She is now a junior at Oral Roberts University, majoring in biology. She plans to go into medicine. Ashley loves working with students of all ages and helping them to gain practical math skills that they can use for the rest of their lives. In her spare time, she enjoys playing golf, reading, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
Aron Romasanta, Instructor
Aron graduated as valedictorian of his high school class and is also a graduate of the Oklahoma School of Science and Mathematics - Northeastern Campus, where he took Calculus I - III, Differential Equations, and Physics I &II during high school. He currently is a senior engineering student at Oral Roberts University and is graduating in May. While at ORU, he worked as a math and physics tutor for the Engineering Department for 2 ½ years. In his free time, Aron is usually with friends and family, at the gym, gaming, or a combination of the three.
Cici McNamara, Instructor
Cici is currently a senior at Cascia Hall, where math is her favorite subject. She loves working with students and helping them understand math. In her spare time, she enjoys playing tennis, reading, and going to movies. Her career plans are to become a cardiothoracic surgeon.
Deborah Holland, Instructor
Deborah is in her final semester at Oklahoma State University, where she is working towards her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. Deborah has wanted to teach children since her first day in kindergarten. She especially loves teaching math. Outside of school, Deborah enjoys reading, playing with her two dogs, cooking, and playing ultimate frisbee. Deborah's career plan after college is to teach between 2nd and 4th grade or middle school math.
Josh Gregory, Instructor
Josh graduated as valedictorian of his high school class, but chose to defer college and toured as a member of a Christian rock band for two years. He is now a sophomore at TCC, where he earned a 99% in his most recent calculus class. His career plans are to become a high school math teacher.
Jack Ramsey, Instructor
Jack graduated from Holland Hall, where he was the captain of Holland Hall’s academic bowl team, a three year letterman on the soccer team, and an accomplished thespian. He also earned a 36 on the math portion of the ACT. Jack was also one of our first employees at Mathnasium of South Tulsa. Jack is now studying engineering at Case Western Reserve University. He has loved math for as long has he can remember and enjoys helping others learn the subject he loves. Jack continues to work at Mathnasium when he is not at school.
