

TINA has a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics at Rutgers University. She is also currently enrolled in the Master’s of Mathematics Education program at Rutgers University. Throughout her high school years, Tina was involved in dance, and was a member of the National Honor Society. She went on to attend college on the New Jersey Stars Scholarship. After her first year of college Tina was enrolled into the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. In her college years, she was a part-time preschool teacher, tutored students of all ages in mathematics, and was involved in many community service activities. Tina is passionate about working with kids, and she aspires to continue her career in education as a Secondary Mathematics Teacher.
DANIELLE has a B.A. in Mathematics-Education from the College of New Jersey, and a Master’s Degree of Arts in Administration and Supervision from Georgian Court University. She is currently a math teacher at Edgar Middle School in Metuchen. After school, Danielle can be found coaching on the soccer field. Her positions have included: The Little Kickers program through the Jersey Knights Soccer Club, Assistant Varsity coach of the Metuchen High School 2007 Girls State Champions, and an elite girl’s team. In addition, Danielle has worked at Mount Sepa summer camp and Eden Institute for Autistic Children. Danielle’s favorite moments at Mathnasium consist of hosting the annual TriMathlon, Math Game Nights, and providing students with the opportunity to change their outlook regarding mathematics from "Huh?" to "Aha!" KELLY earned her Bachelor’s Degree in mathematics from Douglass College (Rutgers) and her Master’s Degree in mathematics education from the Graduate School of Education at Rutgers University. She currently teaches high school mathematics at North Brunswick Township High School. Kelly has also worked with the Rutgers Academic Support staff, tutoring student athletes. She works diligently to bring out the best in each individual student. Kelly is married and has three children. She recognizes the importance of preparing students at each level of understanding, so that they may develop a strong mathematic foundation. MELISSA L. has a Bachelor’s Degree from The College of New Jersey in both Mathematics and Elementary Education. After spending the past 3 years teaching fifth grade, she is presently teaching 6th grade math at Monroe Township Middle School. Prior to working in Monroe, Melissa was a middle school basic skills math teacher in Marlboro Township. Math is one of her favorite subjects and she enjoys spreading her enthusiasm for the subject to students. KAMAL is currently a junior undergraduate at Rutgers University, where he is majoring in Cell Biology & Neuroscience and Physics in preparation for medical school. He has tutored students of all math levels throughout high school and college. He has participated in various math competitions at the state and national level for his school, gaining tremendous amounts of knowledge about how people learn, understand, and use math. Kamal knows that math is an important aspect in every subject and is an essential element for a less confusing life. Kamal is happy to be a part of Mathnasium, a place where students are helped to prepare for a better future. MELISSA R. has a Bachelor’s Degree from Rutgers University in Mathematics. She also holds her NJ Certificate of Eligibility for Teacher of Mathematics. Melissa is working towards her NJ teacher certification through the alternate route program. During her college career, Melissa enjoyed tutoring high-school and college students. She enjoys working with math students of all ages with a special interest in Pre-Algebra, Algebra, and Trigonometry students. Melissa hopes to pass on her knowledge and love of math to the students at Mathnasium.
RUSSELL earned his Bachelor’s Degree in mathematics from Glassboro State College. He currently teaches high school mathematics at South Amboy High School, after teaching 8th-grade for 15 years in Belleville schools. Over the years, Russell has also tutored many students in his neighborhood, monitoring their progress closely, and helping them to achieve math success. Beyond the classroom, Russell is a baseball enthusiast and enjoys his job as an umpire throughout the springtime. He enjoys working with students one-on-one at Mathnasium, and his sense of humor helps them to see the lighter side of mathematics.
