Samien Hasanali, Center Director
Samien earned a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Texas at San Antonio and is a certified teacher. She worked as a substitute teacher and tutor, as well as a supplemental instructor in College Algebra. While involved in both the public school classroom and alternative learning centers, Samien became aware that students needed more of a solid footing in math education than was usually available in their school math classes, and felt that the Mathnasium program could provide just that. She is excited to fill the math needs of students in her community by opening and operating Mathnasium of Stone Oak. Samien and her husband Riyad Hasanali, a pharmacy manager at Walgreens, are residents and active members of the Stone Oak community of San Antonio. Samien has been involved in numerous education boards and plans to continue to be actively involved in her community.
