Whitney

Assistant Director
Whitney first started with Mathnasium as an Instructor in 2018. She has worked in almost every possible role across all centers in Las Vegas in multiple franchises, and has developed a strong passion for the Mathnasium curriculum and its ability to change lives. She has had a love for math and problem solving since she was a child, and enjoys sharing that enjoyment with every student. Whitney took a small break at the beginning of 2023 to have her first child and is thrilled to be back in our Mathnasium centers! She has always believed that every child can thrive when given the appropriate tools, and that is only more true now that she is a mother herself. It is her hope and aspiration that every Mathnasium student be able to accomplish their goals and find their own love for math.

Czionne

Lead Instructor
Czionne moved from California to Las Vegas during his sophomore year of high school, where he attended and graduated from Palo Verde High School. Czionne has worked as an instructor at our center since 2015. He has demonstrated his leadership skills for several years and knows many of our students and families. Czionne loves the supportive atmosphere of Mathnasium and the dedication instructors have towards their students' education. Outside of Mathnasium, Czionne enjoys traveling, volleyball, and video games.

Richard

Lead Instructor
Richard was born and raised in Las Vegas and graduated from Ed W. Clark High School and University of Nevada, Las Vegas with a B.A. in Psychology. Mathnasium used to be a place where he thought he could just put his cobweb-infested, higher-math skills to use. However, he soon realized he grew a passion to teach kids and watch them grow developmentally and mathematically. Richard aspires to work as a school psychologist to see students grow in other learning sectors outside of math as well as take care of their mental health, so Mathnasium allows him to experience that growth in a niche area. His personal interests include meditating, playing video games, listening to music/audiobooks, and playing with his dog.

Cate

Lead Instructor
Cate is a senior at Palo Verde who was born and raised in Las Vegas. She loves to read, learn, play video games, and socialize. Cate has worked at Mathnasium for two years now since the end of 2021, and she's come to absolutely love it. She's always enjoyed working with kids and has babysat neighbors and friends from a young age. On top of that, she loves helping others learn and develop more confidence about their abilities. She loves how Mathnasium works and is proud to be a part of the organization that is able to help so many children. Her goals include going to college after she graduates and hopefully finding a job that has to do with teaching or kids.

Nikolai

Lead Instructor
Nikolai is a current freshman at College of Southern Nevada, working towards a Bachelor's in Computer Science aspiring to become a Software Engineer. He was born in the Philippines and moved to Las Vegas at the age of two. He enjoys teaching math to kids and loves the environment that Mathnasium provides for these students. Outside of Mathnasium he enjoys playing video games along with working on programming passion projects.

Morgan

Instructor
Morgan graduated from UNLV in 2022 with a bachelors of Science in Mathematics. He started working at Mathnasium in 2018 where he discovered a passion for explaining mathematical concept to students who were needing things explained in a clear way. His goal is to help convince everyone he meets that math is not as hard or scary as people often like to say. When he is not working at Mathnasium he works for a youth outreach program out of Nellis. With some free time Morgan likes to hang out with his family and talk about anything that is considered to be nerdy as those are his topics of interest.

Greg

Instructor
Mr. Greg is a retired Mathematics teacher and high school administrator. After 27 years with the Clark County School District in Las Vegas, he retired and took a brief 6 month break from any formal work responsibilities. However, he determined that helping students in math was still his passion, and thus began working for Mathnasium. In his spare time, he is an avid golfer, pickleball player, and fan of the St. Louis Cardinal baseball team. Mr. Greg understands how success in education builds confidence in students, and sets them up for continued success in their future. He believes that all students have a desire to learn and that all a student needs is the right motivation. Mathnasium not only offers a great curriculum and assessment process, but provides Mr. Greg with the required tools to help incentivize his students. Mr. Greg enjoys working with the younger students and loves to see their faces when they comprehend a concept. Student smiles are Mr. Greg's primary reward when working at Mathnasium!!

Nashrah

Instructor
Nashrah is a Las Vegas local, born and raised here. She graduated from The Meadows School in 2022. Now, Nashrah attends UNLV in her second year as a Pre-Med Biology major in the Honors College. She aspires to go to medical school and become a doctor in her future. Additionally, Nashrah enjoys traveling with her family, spending time with her friends, listening to music, and reading books. She has been working with Mathnasium since the summer of 2022 and enjoys working the kids. Nashrah has a passion to help them understand different math concepts, and loves to see the smiles on their faces when they do because they also put a smile on her face.

Dylan

Instructor
Dylan is a student at UNLV who is working towards his degree in Mechanical Engineering. Dylan was born in Jersey City, New Jersey, but moved to various places in California before ultimately coming to Las Vegas in his junior year of high school. Despite his goofy personality, he is very serious when it comes to the academic success of the students at Mathnasium.

Lucas

Instructor
Lucas is a junior at West Career and Technical Academy. He is currently enrolled in the engineering program, and taking AP calculus AB. His constant love for math has always led him to share his knowledge with others, and also used to tutor his friends who would be struggling in math. Lucas used to be a student at Mathnasium, and can atest to the effectiveness of the cirriculum that he now teaches. Math can be a struggle to grasp, so Lucas connects with the students and encourages them in a way that is fun and engaging, leading the students to find their own "Ah-ha" moment with math.

Ash

Instructor
Ash is a Senior at The Adelson School who has been working at Mathnasium since June 2023. His lifelong love of math has inspired him to take challenging math courses and teach kids how to be master problem solvers. In college, Ash hopes to study finance and/or economics. Outside Of Mathnasium, he enjoys spending time with friends, going to the gym, and watching sports.

Nick

Instructor
Nick was born in Las Vegas and is a local senior at Sierra Vista High school. He is passionate in music and math and is planning to attend UNLV next year as a music major. His hobbies include video games and going out with friends. Nick loves teaching students and loves seeing them have their lightbulb moments in math. He loves working with the students and creating bonds that make mathnasium a fun but educational place to be.

Nadav

Instructor
Nadav first joined Mathnasium for the job experience and to do teaching. However, as he continued to work here, he started to enjoy teaching math to students as he thought he was really helping them. Besides math, Nadav really enjoy history and reading fantasy books, with his favorite series being Percy Jackson.

Sydney

Instructor
Sydney was born and raised in Las Vegas, but most of her family is from New Jersey. She's currently a junior at UNLV, and is working towards her Bachelor's in English Literature. She has a love and passion for math, and has been helping tutor friends for years. She joined Mathnasium in order to help kids excel in math, and to develop better skills with both mathematics and instructing. Her interests consist of reading, hockey, music, and mathematics.

Mia

Instructor
Mia is a current senior at Faith Lutheran High School and has lived in Las Vegas for her whole life! Mia hopes to begin college next year where she plans to study education and music! She is passionate about inspiring students to unlock their potential in mathematics and helping them to grow more confident in their problem solving skills! As an instructor, Mia strives to create a fun and positive learning environment for all of her students!

Aaron

Instructor
Aaron was born in Las Vegas, and he is currently in his senior year at Palo Verde High School. He was a student at Mathnasium for calculus before deciding to join the team. His favorite part of tutoring is seeing students improve in areas they once struggled. He plans to attend UNR next year. Outside of Mathnasium, Aaron enjoys reading, trampoline, and spending time with friends.

Isaac

Instructor
Isaac is a Las Vegas native who recently graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in Data Science and Computer Science. He was been a tutor in both Vegas and the Bay Area and enjoys working with kids in math. On his off time he is a big boxing and MMA fan.

Daniel

Instructor
Daniel graduated from University of Las Vegas Nevada in 2021 with a bachelors in Mechanical Engineering. He also graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelors in Exploration System Design. Daniel has a deep passion for the sciences and mathematics since a young age. Daniel is a lifelong learner and has aspires to emulate his favorite teacher who inspired him to teach others in a patient and clear manner. Daniel embraces Mathnasium's ideals of making math fun and help students grow.

Alex

Instructor
Alex is currently a senior at West Career and Technical Academy. He is planning to go to U of Arizona for finance. Alex is interesting in inspiring kids to be interested in math and have a burning drive to learn. His goal is to motivate kids on why math is fun and is hoping to teach the most kids he can about how math works and how they can use it in the future. Alex used to be a student at Mathnasium, and likes the way they engage in helping the students learn math by adding a fun factor to it. He wants to help the kid see the fun in the journey of mathematics and what it can lead to in their future.

Raymond

Instructor
Raymond is a retired CCSD high school math teacher, before that he was a computer engineer from Silicon valley, Calif. He specializes in explaining math in relatable terms. He enjoys seeing children's smiling faces when they understand. That is the sole reason he is there - for the kids.

Justin

Instructor
Justin was born and raised in Las Vegas. He is currently a junior at UNLV studying computer science. He graduated high school from LVA where he played trumpet in jazz and classical band. Other than math and computers, he also enjoys nature, bowling, and video games.

Benjamin

Instructor
Benjamin is a junior at UNLV working towards his statistics degree. In previous years he has helped over 20 juniors prepare for the ACT/SAT. At Mathnasium he continues to watch over student's development and help them make the intuitive connections that make math fun. As hobbies he enjoys music and digital media.

Joshua

Instructor
Joshua is a High Schooler. He hopes to go to college with the goal of becoming an economist. Joshua loves teaching at Mathnasium because he loves sharing his love of math with others. His greatest delight is seeing kids "ah ha" moments. Joshua loves to spend his weekends playing tennis and videogames.

Amanda

Instructor
Amanda was raised as a military child and moved to Las Vegas in 2016 when her dad retired from the army. Amanda is currently a Speech and Language Pathology grad student at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences. She has always enjoyed teaching and has been with MATHnasium on and off since 2019. She remembers when her brother was a student with MATHnasium and the way it helped him enjoy math. She also loves the support and care instructors show to students and each other. Outside of MATHnasium, some of her favorite things to do are read, write, and spend time with friends.

Jillian

Instructor
Jillian is a current senior at Advanced Technologies Academy who will attend UNLV next year to pursue Electrical Engineering. She aspires to work at NASA or become a planetarium director. Her hobbies include playing video games, reading, drawing, cosplaying, and stargazing. Jillian has had her fair share of struggles with math, and it was thanks to her teachers who always encouraged her that she grew to love and excel at it. She hopes to extend that to Mathnasium and become a positive influence to her students by encouraging them to apply themselves no matter how challenging math can get.

Dan Saposhnik

Director of Operations
Dan graduated from the University of Arizona in 1985 with a B.S. in Microbiology and from Hofstra University's Graduate School of Business in 1990 with an MBA in Accounting. He worked as a CPA with public accounting firm Price Waterhouse and has built successful companies in various fields including real estate and executive recruiting. Dan's passion for teaching and love for working with kids is rooted in family tradition. His mother was a highly regarded principal in Las Vegas for nearly 30 years. Dan has taught and tutored children of all ages and was a mentor for underprivileged children. Dan is committed to significantly increasing Las Vegas children's math skills, their understanding of math concepts and their overall school performance. "We provide lots of warm encouragement in a very positive learning environment so that children build their confidence and develop a winning attitude towards math. Our kids learn math in a way that makes sense to them. They get excited about math and this spirit carries over into everything they do."

Laurie Wasser Saposhnik

Director of Marketing and Community Outreach
Laurie graduated from UCLA in 1986 with a B.A. in Communication Studies. Prior to joining Mathnasium, Laurie worked for various Fortune 500 high tech companies such as IBM, SAP, EMC, TIBCO and MicroStrategy. Laurie's passion for teaching and love for working with kids is rooted in family tradition. Her father taught special education at the high school level for over 30 years in California. Laurie is committed to partnering with the Las Vegas community to increase Las Vegas children's math skills, their understanding of math concepts and their confidence in their ability to be successful.
