Our Team

Bria has a bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems and a Masters of Business Administration from Texas A & M University. She is a Texas certified Math teacher for grades 8 – 12. Bria taught Algebra and Geometry at Texas High School for several years. She noticed while teaching that students were often unable to receive outside, specialized help for math through the schools, and there were no learning center options available to them in Texarkana. This led Bria to consider opening her own Mathnasium Learning Center, where she would be able to do what she loves: teach kids math in a way that makes sense to them and help them become mathematical thinkers. Bria is married to David Howe and has lived in Texarkana for 26 years. She is a musician, likes to play tennis, and travel. She and her husband had their first child, William Judah Howe, in September 2010.

Charlotte earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, with concentrations in Math and physical education from the University of Texas, Austin. She taught math in public schools for many years, and also worked as Training Director and Program Services for a Girl Scout Council. She currently works in a part time bookkeeping position. Charlotte enjoys working with children, and feels that Mathnasium provides an invaluable service that she and her daughter-in-law are excited to bring to Texarkana. Charlotte is happily married and has two grown children. She enjoys traveling, golf, is active in her church, and does volunteer work at a women’s recovery center. Charlotte also enjoys playing guitar and photography.
