Clark T.

Clark Thorburn is a San Jose State University graduate with a B.S. in Applied and Computational Math. He's currently working on his Applied Math M.S. He volunteers every year to help his high school physics and engineering teacher run a VEX Robotics Competition, which he used to participate in himself. Clark says, “I enjoy math because it has its own puzzles, and useful (and fascinating) real-life applications.” Math Joke: My favorite joke to tell a mathematician is "My favorite zero of the Riemann Zeta function is 0.5 + i*█.██████..." Favorite number: 2. 2 and it’s powers have a lot to do with computers and programming. Fun fact: My middle name is Kent, so I am “Clark Kent”, like Superman.

Ashneel Reddy is currently a student at San Joaquin Delta College, studying Mechanical Engineering and Mathematics. He is a West High Alumni, who has taken and passed all levels of Calculus offered at West High. Ever since Middle school, Ashneel has won multiple awards from several academic competitions, including, Math Olympiad, Math Counts, Academic Pentathlon, and H2O Hackathon, He quotes, “It’s amazing how powerful of a tool Math is, just imagine the possibilities, it’s infinite!”. Math Joke: Have you heard about the mathematical plant? It has square roots! Favorite number: Pi! The ratio of circumference to the diameter of a circle dates all the way back to 18th century! That’s over 300 years ago! Fun fact: My last name is Reddy, so my favorite tagline is “Are you Reddy? Cause I am!”
