Our Team

Barbara has always had a passion for math and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Fullerton State College. She spent more than 20 years in the electronics industry, working with the technologies and engineers in several capacities, including training, marketing, and several corporate positions. Barbara started a previous business with her daughter Aimee about 10 years ago and she has continued her involvement with it until they discovered the Mathnasium program. Barbara has felt for such a long time that math has been a “go-no-go” subject in the education system. Math is one subject that can open many opportunities for a child in their future careers and life in general. She looks forward to serving the children in the Tustin area at their Mathnasium Learning Center.

Aimee spent 15 years in the restaurant industry managing one to several restaurants before she joined her mother Barbara in their recent service based business. That business afforded her the flexibility to spend time with her two children before they reached school age. With both of her children in school all day, she now can devote time to serving other children as well. Aimee has worked with children in other learning environments for the past three years, and looks forward to fulfilling her passion by making a difference in the lives of children with their Mathnasium Learning Center. Both Aimee and Barbara were searching for a program to assist children in the critical years of their educational development. Mathnasium has provided both of them the opportunity to work with children while incorporating their passion to make a difference in the lives of those children.

Crystal graduated from UC Irvine in 2007 with a Bachelor's in Social Ecology. She has been with the center since 2008 and enjoys being a part of them team. Crystal also recently started a baking business which she hopes to grow in the future. Crystal really enjoys math and loves being around children of all ages. We are happy to have Crystal share her love of math with the students.

Teresa has her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California, Irvine. She also obtained her Master of Education & multiple subject teaching credential from the University of California, San Diego. She has taught in the private school system in the primary grade levels for 3 years. Teresa loves helping students develop critical thinking and problem solving skills. Tersesa draws from her experiences from her Crudentials to educate, encourage,and excite her students in Mathematics.

Rafael earned his BA in Political Science from California State University, Northridge. He is currently a 5th grade teacher in one of our surrounding school districts. He has a passion for teaching, and strives to teach math in a way that will get students more excited about learning the subject! Rafael is a former Police officer for Los Angeles. He has also served as an officer and Airman in the United States Air Force. We are very fortunate to have Rafael as an instructor.

Daniel earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science, at the University of California, Irvine. He is currently planning on attaining his teaching credential and a Master’s Degree in Political Science. Daniel enjoys coaching and refereeing soccer. He hopes to one day teach mathematics to high school students and possibly teach at a college level. We are happy to have Daniel share his love of math here at our center!

Ignacio is a recent Graduate from Cal Poly Pomona. He has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Aerospace Engineering. He has also been involved in designing airplanes for both private and commercial use. In addition to having a profound admiration for mathematics, he has a desire to continue his education by reading in his spare time. Ignacio has plans of pursuing his Master’s Degree & his PHD. He is very driven, and would be a great mentor for any child…

Stephanie is currently attending Saddleback College, working on her Major in Applied Mathematics. She will then move on to earn her Master’s Degree. Her goal is to attain her credentials, and teach Mathematics from primary grades to the College levels. Stephanie has always excelled in Math and loves sharing her passion for the subject. We are very fortunate to have her working with all of our Mathnasium students!

Pullad earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California, Irvine. He has a passion for Mathematics stemming back to highschool, having been a member of the Math Honor League. He has tutored all ages of students in MATH, of course, and in biology and chemistry. Pullad is looking forward to Dental school, as he scored in the top 5% on his Dental Admissions Test. He also coaches youth soccer & enjoys playing classical guitar!

Ali has received his Bachelor of Science from the University of Irvine. He is currently working on becoming a Doctor. Ali has always had a passion for Mathematics, for as long as he can remember. He was a Math Olympiad in the 6th grade. Then continued on through High School, competing in several Math competitions. He has since tutored many students at all levels in the subject. In his spare time he loves to play soccer and listen to music! It is a pleasure to have Ali as a part of the Mathnasium Instruction Team!

Satish has a Bachelor in Computer Science & a Masters in Information Technology. He has worked in the IT industry for 8 years with a strong technical and analytical skill set. He has always had a passion for teaching Mathematics, from the time he was in High School! Satish is an aspiring ping pong Champion (: We are proud to have him helping our Mathnasium students!
