Charlie holds both a bachelor’s degree in Management and Accounting and a master’s degree in International Business from Case Western Reserve University. Before opening the Mathnasium center in Vernon Hills, Charlie worked as the Chief Financial Officer for a number of mid-sized multinational companies. This gave him the opportunity to work with people from around the world, in locations as diverse as Mongolia, Brazil, Australia and much of Europe. One of his most important tasks was to teach people US accounting rules in these various countries. Language was often a challenge, but the common element was always math and numbers. Based on that experience, Charlie realized he wanted to serve the children of his community by helping them gain numeric, logic and reasoning skills that would help them throughout their lives. Charlie and his wife, Chris, live in Vernon Hills where they are raising their two daughters, Alyssa and Olivia.
