Our Team

Ara is an Engineering Graduate from the University of Michigan. His professional career encompasses developing mathematical and geometric modeling software to managing Information Technology organization for large global corporations. Ara considers a sound understanding of mathematics to be instrumental to children’s education, providing the foundation for one’s ability to logically and methodically approach the challenges of today’s complex world. Ara believes that the Mathnasium method of teaching math to children not only makes it easier for them to comprehend and understand math but also helps them develop a lifelong liking for this important subject.

Alicia is a recent graduate from UC Davis and a Walnut Creek native. During her time at Davis, she was highly involved in the Math and Science Teaching Program where she interned and tutored students in various schools in Davis, CA. During these programs, she learned interesting and creative ways of explaining math concepts to students. She knows the importance that math plays in well-rounded education, because math extends to a many other subjects, such as science and music. Alicia really likes the emphasis that the Mathnaiusm method places on building number sense as well as a deeper understanding of mathematics.
