Shamiran Dumont

Operations Director
Shamiran, Center Owner I'm Shamiran (that's Shu-mee-ron if you're wondering), and I'm honored to bring Mathnasium to the Palm Beaches. Since I was a little kid, I have wanted to show others how fun it is to play with numbers. Once I received a Bachelor's Degree from University of California, Irvine, I found what I believe is the best way to learn math: the Mathnasium Method. After 5 years of managing learning centers in Los Angeles and supporting other business owners in the growth of their learning centers all over the country, I'm excited to bring Mathnasium to Palm Beach, West Palm Beach, Palm Beach Lakes, Riviera Beach, and Lake Worth. My friends and family tell me I'm the human version of a puppy. I love people, running around outside, and I'm always down to snack!

Jacqueline Dumont

Behavior Specialist
One size never fits all, and that rings truer for kids with special needs. As a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, I guide our Mathnasium team to use best practices when teaching each and every child at our center. I grew up in South Florida, and I'm proud to give back to the that have already given me so much. I have two French bulldogs, cookies are my favorite food, and I will never grow out of loving Pokemon - especially Snorlax.

Ms. Kat

Assistant Center Director
Hi, I’m Ms. Kat, the Assistant Center Director. I’ve been working at Mathnasium, formerly as an instructor, for almost three years! I was a math-repulsed grade school student, but when I began to research diverse learning paradigms as an undergrad, I fell for math, and Mathnasium’s way of teaching it, hard. After graduating college and spending time working with students in private tutoring and in the school system, I chose to come back to Mathnasium because of the huge, positive impact it had on my notions of and abilities concerning math—I knew it had worked its magic. I currently balance my job here along with freelance gigs as a writer, professional singer, and amateur archaeologist within the Palm Beach County area. I have a deep love for my students, japanese art, corny memes and nature documentaries. Come back to my desk for free stickers!

Emily

Lead Instructor
Hey! My name is Emily, and I was born and raised right here in West Palm Beach. I've always loved numbers and it's important to me to give all kids the opportunity to succeed with math. I believe that everyone can master math with the right approach. I joined the Mathnasium team in July 2021 and my favorite thing is being able to make something stressful even a little less stressful. When I'm not at the center, I enjoy painting and baking for my friends and family.

Adam

Instructor
Hello, I'm Adam, and I'm currently a biomedical engineering student at Florida Atlantic University. More than anything, I'm passionate about mathematics, but what truly brings me joy is when I hear people express their love for math. It's close to heartbreaking hearing those who find math difficult because, in reality, with the right approach, math can be not only exceptionally straightforward but also very enjoyable. My ability to connect with children amplifies my role as a math tutor, which in turn allows me to boost their academic excellence and help emphasize the significance of math as a valuable life skill with numerous practical applications in the real world.

Jeri

Instructor
Hey, I’m Jeri! I enjoy working at Mathnasium because we teach amazing ways to solve different math problems. Furthering knowledge is important to me, so I love spreading it to the kids that come to the center. When I am not teaching, I love learning about physics and playing soccer.

Lex

Instructor
Hey! My name is Lex, and I’m an Instructor at the Mathnasium of West Palm Beach. I love that math applies to many other academic subjects and can be used to creatively solve all sorts of problems. Not only this, but math is fun! I find it very fulfilling to help students understand new math concepts, and encourage them to love learning. I enjoy games and puzzles. In my time outside Mathnasium, I am either listening to music, chatting with my friends, or studying!

Noorleen

Instructor
Hey I’m Noorleen! I am passionate about educating young minds in the field of mathematics, leveraging my experiences to inspire a love for the subject among students. I have a deep appreciation for the way math intersects with various academic disciplines, offering creative solutions to a wide array of problems. Beyond its practical applications, I also find joy in the inherent fun of mathematics. Guiding students to grasp new mathematical concepts and fostering a love for learning is incredibly rewarding for me. Beyond my time at Mathnasium, you'll likely find me engaged in artistic pursuits like painting or immersed in a crafty project.

Arianna

Instructor
Hi, I’m Arianna! I’ve always loved math and my journey with numbers led me to a profound belief that everyone can excel in math with the right guidance. I find joy in simplifying the complexities of math and making it a positive experience for students. Outside the world of math, I enjoy eating delicious food and watching Netflix with friends.

Kellan

Instructor
Hello, my name is Kellan, and I am an accounting major at Palm Beach State College. I enjoy working with children, so becoming an Instructor in a subject I know and love so well seemed natural. I love being able to foster a sense of learning and accomplishment into the children's bright minds. I intend to provide every child the chance of educational development while also helping them as a mentor.

Mirabelle

Instructor
Hi, my name is Mirabelle! I’ve always loved both math itself and being able to see how others can go from complete disinterest in the subject to genuine excitement with the proper approach. When Mathnasium gave me the opportunity to make math fun for students while creating a constructive but interactive learning environment, I knew it was the right fit! In my time outside of Mathnasium, I like spending time with my friends, listening to music, and reading and writing.

Our Mathnasium Mission

Teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it. Math can change their lives, and they can change the world.

What I love about Mathnasium is the ability to teach problem-solving skills and make math make sense, while also making a student smile.
