Our specially trained math instructors will teach your child how to understand math in an individual setting; our unique approach enables us to explain concepts really well and lend a helping hand to every student. Our tutors foster a caring, encouraging environment that helps kids thrive and learn! Read below to learn more about our talented team:
Carli is a former business executive as well as a former Middle School teacher. She has been a part of the Mathnasium family since 2014 and loves helping kids build their confidence in math, make math make sense again, and provide help for parents struggling each night to help their kids with their homework. She loves the idea of helping kids get ahead and stay ahead; all while making math fun again! Especially for those students who were "bored" in math and needed a greater challenge. In her free time, you will find her hanging out with family or visiting her son at college.
Angela Lee, Center Director
Angela graduated from NC State University with a degree in Electrical Engineering. After working as an Instructor here for over a year, she decided that she enjoyed helping students understand math and have fun while learning so much that she stayed on as the Center Director! She enjoys teaching calculus, playing video games, and learning to crochet dolls. She is always ready and excited to meet and help our students!
Christian Rodgers, Assistant Center Director
Chris is a senior at NC State studying accounting. He has experience tutoring math through volunteering throughout his high school years and also through the National Honor Society programs. While working at Mathnasium, Chris hopes to bring more young students to a better understanding of mathematics, not only to better their education in school, but also to allow them to see math as an integral part of everyday life.
Jonah Justice, Lead Instructor
Jonah is a student at NC State University majoring in Electrical Engineering. As the eldest brother of four, he had lots of experience helping out with school work and loves to use that experience to help make learning and understanding fun for our students at Mathnasium! When he's not too busy, Jonah likes to play his ukelele, go hiking, or play a session of Dungeons and Dragons with his friends!
Aniqa Khanom, Lead Instructor
Aniqa is currently a graduate student at North Carolina State University studying Computer Science and hopes to work in data science and data analytics one day. She was first interested in Mathematics when she researched Pythagoras for a school project. When she has free time, Aniqa likes to cycle, play guitar, and read.
