Brandon Adams

Assistant Center Director
Growing up, Brandon always had a strong mathematics background. He loved learning about all the ways numbers apply to the real world and the sometimes complex problem solving required to find solutions. He has been tutoring and teaching math to all ages since 2016. Brandon joined Mathnasium of Flower Mound in 2018 after earning an A.S. in Physics and has since become Assistant Center Director. He is currently studying at the University of North Texas to be a high school math teacher which he says has always been a passion of his. Elisa Ferreira

Assistant Center Director (@home)
Elisa is one of our Assistant Center Directors here at Mathnasium. She has been with us since the Fall of 2017, and is primarily working through our [email protected] platform with our virtual students! She is currently attending Texas Tech University and is working towards a bachelors in Education with a specialization in Middle Grades Mathematics. Early in her childhood, Elisa struggled in math until she finally had a teacher in middle school teach her in a way that makes sense. Since then everything clicked, and math became fun for her. Having this experience made her realize that anyone can do math; they just need to learn it in a way that makes sense to them! Now Elisa works hard to see that light bulb click in the minds of her students in hopes that they will grow to enjoy math just like she did. She has grown a passion for working with the students and loves to have the opportunity to educate them. Since working at Mathnasium, she has learned so much about the proper ways to teach, and hopes that she will one day become a teacher and change the way kids view math just like Mathnasium does.

Kelsey Roberts

Lead Instructor

Madison Wilson

Instructor
Ever since Madison can remember, they've loved anything related to math, and music. All through grade school, they were involved with Choir and even was the Vice President of their High School Choir Program, leading class as a Student Director, while taking advanced math classes since 5th grade. They find joy in listening to music, as well as playing and recreating songs through playing the guitar and singing, so you can always find them humming some tune they have stuck in their head. They started their college career with a plan to major in Music Therapy and only minor in Math, but after their first year of college, they decided to change their major to Mathematics. They're currently working on their B.S. in Mathematics, and plan on obtaining their Ph.D. and teaching at the collegiate level. Besides being in love with learning anything mathematical, Madison says that Mathnasium has helped them realize that teaching math is also a true passion of theirs. Working for this organization has given them the opportunity to hone in on the skills necessary to further their career and to introduce them to the Math Education world and what it has to offer. The student is becoming the teacher!

Nikita Kolatkar

Instructor
Nikita is currently a junior at Marcus High School. As a child, Nikita didn't really like math because she found it boring and a little difficult. However, when Nikita went to high school, she began noticing all the little patterns that help make math more engaging and easier. She soon realized that she enjoyed learning new math concepts and applying them in her day-to-day life! "I love teaching at Mathnasium because I get to teach kids better ways to do math. Instead of just memorizing facts, I can teach them the reasoning as to why a problem is solved the way it is. If I'd learned this when I was younger, I would've enjoyed math way more as a child!" Nikita hopes to inspire children to see the beauty and simplicity in math, just as she did.

Logan Pope

Instructor
Logan is currently a Junior attending Marcus High School. He says "I have always been interested in science and math because since I was young, I've known that I wanted to go into STEM. From a young age, my mom was always teaching me math at home which was very difficult. My first memory was learning my times tables which at the time was the hardest thing in the world. However, the more and more I practiced, the easier it became to learn math. Since then, with the help of amazing teachers, math has been my best subject in school which has led me to love to help others learn and see that math isn’t really that hard."

Adityasai Tirupati

Instructor
Adityasai is currently a senior at Flower Mound High School. Throughout his middle school and high school years, Adityasai learned about the everyday applications of math. Once in his junior year, Adityasai saw the connection between physics and math and how everyday life under the laws of physics is so intertwined. With this in mind, Adityasai is aiming to become an Aerospace Engineer in the aviation field and hopes to make students at Mathnasium also realize the importance in math and how useful it can be. “I believe everyone can enjoy math when it has a bigger meaning in their life. I would love to teach students math in a way that helps them realize not only the skills, but the application of math. As a former Mathnasium student myself, I have come to realize it is not only about knowledge, but about problem solving skills and quick thinking: both of which I believe are invaluable skills everyone should learn. Math has been an integral part of my education and something that I would love to share with students to further understand this universal language we call math!“

Paige Cox

Instructor
Paige graduated from UNT with a Bachelors in Education in 1987 and received her Masters in Education Administration in 2009, from UNT-Dallas. She retired from Education in September 2021. Paige taught math in grades 2 through high school throughout her 30 year career. She enjoys working with kids and thinks math is the "coolest" subject ever-she calls herself a "numbers geek". Paige has 2 dogs, Hersheys and Reeses, and a fancy bearded dragon named Barney. One day, Paige plans to get a camper and travel the country with her dogs and lizard. Destination One: The I Love Lucy - Lucy Desi Museum in Jamestown N.Y.

Our Mathnasium Mission

Teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it. Math can change their lives, and they can change the world.

What I love about Mathnasium is the ability to teach problem-solving skills and make math make sense, while also making a student smile.
