Decker Franks

Assistant Center Director
Decker is from Norman, OK and earned his B.S. in Software Engineering from the UCO. While finishing his degree, he discovered that he enjoys teaching much more than coding. Decker is beyond blessed in this life and he wants to share the goodness he's been given with everyone he meets.

Favorite Number: -1, because it is the first number that represents a purely abstract concept. If you have 1 thing, you can see, feel, and touch it. If you have 0 things, you can point to where the thing should be and say there are no things there. But you can never see, feel, touch or point to where -1 things should be.

Fun Fact: Decker is a huge video game nerd who has used math to analyze and play games better.

Decker said: "I love Mathnasium because when I was a child, I was an outcast and was misunderstood. And sadly, very few adults around me took the time to speak life and encouragement to me. Mathnasium is a place where children can come and find acceptance, encouragement, and most of all, the empowerment to go through life. The math skills will undoubtedly be of great value to them. But simply having a place of constant, positive reinforcement is the greatest value Mathnasium offers children."

Rahool Barua

Instructor
Rahool is from Edmond, OK and graduated from the Oklahoma School of Science and Mathematics (OSSM). He is currently majoring in Chemical Engineering with a Pre-Med track. At OSSM, he helped tutor incoming juniors in Trigonometry and General Chemistry. Rahool likes to watch anime, self-teach with textbooks, and paint his nails. He's currently trying to learning Physical Chemistry and Linear Algebra.

Favorite Number: e and pi "because I'm irrational"

Fun Fact: A group of flamingoes is called a flamboyant.

Rahool said: "I love Mathnasium because I like seeing students learn and become confident in their own skills."

Our Mathnasium Mission

Teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it. Math can change their lives, and they can change the world.

What I love about Mathnasium is the ability to teach problem-solving skills and make math make sense, while also making a student smile.
