Meet the Team at Mathnasium of Scarsdale

Richard Foran

Richard has an MBA in Risk Management from St. John’s University and a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Economics from Manhattan College. He likes working with and teaching young adults, and in his spare time plays tennis, scuba dives, and practices yoga. He is also a volunteer firefighter!

Allyson Slutak

Allyson spent twenty years in Corporate Compliance until her corporate career transitioned into education when the company was downsized in 2012. Her education career began as a substitute teacher. In May 2017, Allyson completed her Master’s in Education at St. John’s University and is currently teaching at a Yeshiva in Queens, New York. Allyson has lived on both coasts and has an affinity for spreadsheets and databases. She likes to read, craft, travel, and enjoys being a couch potato at times. In addition, she has rafted class 4 and 5 rapids in California and participated in the Women’s National Bowling Tournament for several years. Allyson enjoys working at Mathnasium when she is able to help students improve their fundamental skills so that math becomes fun. “Fractions are our friends!"

Colin Loughran

Colin is currently a student at Fordham University pursuing a B.A. in journalism, and as a former student of Mathnasium, he has formed a love of statistics, equations, and probabilities. In his free time Colin enjoys sports, sitcoms, and Hip-Hop music, and hopes to help continue Mathnasium's tradition of helping students attain success!
