Billy Jaynes, Owner
Billy has a Bachelors degree in General Business from Sam Houston State University. He has been an entrepreneur since his mid 20’s and has been involved in starting several businesses. He knew that Math was his passion from the first time he aced an Algebra class in High School when others were struggling. Later he realized that he had a gift to change kid’s lives coaching Little League baseball by teaching young men to gain confidence through small improvements in their skills. When recently searching for a new challenge, he came across Mathnasium and instantly knew this was the opportunity of a lifetime to be able to mix his love for Math and teaching children to gain confidence through learning Math skills that have frustrated them in the past. Billy said, “ I am so excited that I get to get up every day excited about changing kid’s lives through Math. This chapter of my life is going to be the best of all."
Kay Jaynes - Outreach Coordinator
Kay graduated from Lee Jr. College in 1993 with an Associates degree in Nursing. Prior to joining Mathnasium at Steiner Ranch, Kay worked for 5 years as a Registered nurse. Kay made the decision to join her husband at their business Certified Recovery Systems where she basically worked as her husband's Administrative Assistant/AP/AR. Since that time and for the past twenty years Kay has worked at her husband's side in several businesses handling the administrative functions. When her husband made the transition to owning a Mathnasium, he immediately started looking for ways Kay could support him in the new business venture and it became obvious early on that she would be the person responsible for building relationships with the schools, teachers, and people in the local community. Kay has always been one who loved volunteering with her son’s local school functions, sporting events and has always taken great pride in making a positive impact on the children in her community. Kay is committed to partnering with the Austin community to increase children’s math skills, their understanding of math concepts, and their confidence in their ability to be successful.
