Victoria

Assistant Center Director
Victoria is currently studying psychology at The Honors College at Florida International University. She graduated from Miami Arts Studio, where she was a part of seven honor societies and was the president of Mu Alpha Theta Mathematics Honor Society. Victoria spent many hours tutoring as a volunteer during high school and has even participated in many math competitions. Hobbies: Playing the piano Fun Fact: Victoria has 4 cats! Daniel

Instructor
Daniel is studying to become a mechanical engineer at Florida International University and already has courses like Calculus 1, Calculus 2, Calculus 3, and Differential equations under his belt. Daniel enjoys solving interesting math problems and, even more so, nerding out about said problem and explaining the solution to others. In his free time, he enjoys 3D modeling anything that comes to mind, playing guitar, and lifting. Favorite math joke: Why doesn't anybody talk to circles? Because there's no point.

Diana

Instructor
Diana graduated from University of Florida, with a Bachelor’s degree in Wildlife Ecology and Conservation. She’s taken courses in College Algebra, Statistics, Calculus 1 and Calculus 2. Diana enjoys reducing the fear of math by making it an approachable and logical subject to students. In her spare time Diana enjoys painting, drawing, video games,traveling and reading. Diana’s favorite number is 7 because it sounds appealing. Favorite math joke: What do you call a man who spent all summer at the beach? A tangent.

Lazaro

Instructor
Lazaro is currently working as a Mathematics teacher at a local high school. He likes to motivate those that he is able to help with their math skills to think rather than memorize rules. During his free time, he likes to listen to music, learn about cars, and watch old comic shows. Favorite Number: 40. Favorite math joke: Why is six afraid of seven? Because seven eight nine!

Danny

Instructor
Danny is currently in high school and taking AB Calc and next year BC calc. He likes to solve math problems and finds it fun to have to solve a difficult problem. He has always loved math as a subject and will continue to love tackling difficult problems and expanding his knowledge in math. He loves to help students learn math concepts and works to help them love math like he does. He works to go to UF and get a Bachelor’s in Business Economics and Accounting. Some of his hobbies are: Guitar, lifting, playing video games, and chess. Favorite number : 27 Favorite math joke: Are monsters good at math? Not unless you Count Dracula. Favorite number : 45 because not only is it a cool number by itself but it contains all of my other favorite numbers as factors (1,3,5,9,15, and of course 45). Favorite math joke: what do baby parabolas drink? Quadratic formula!

Melany

Instructor
Melany is currently a senior in high school, as well as a dual enrollee at Miami Dade College. She will graduate high school with her AA and aims to major in Computer Science. She finds challenging math problems fun and is taking AP Calculus AB and AP Statistics. Before working at Mathnasium, Melany volunteered as a middle school tutor for many months. In her free time, she likes to read and hangout with her friends. Favorite number: 9 Favorite Math Joke: Why can’t you have an argument with a 90 degree angle? Because it’s always right.

Esmil

Online Instructor
Esmil is an online instructor for Mathnasium of Tamiami. He really enjoys teaching at Mathnasium and one of his favorite subjects is math. Currently, Esmil is in his senior year of high school and hopes to go to FIU to graduate with a Bachelor’s of Science in Computer Science. In school he enjoys tutoring his friends for AP Calculus and Pre-Calculus. He hopes to be able to show students Math through a different perspective in order to get students to like the subject. In his free time, Esmil likes to go riding bike and going to the gym with friends. Esmil’s favorite number is 10 because it is a crucial base number that has many uses to it. Favorite math joke: How does a mathematician plow fields? With a pro-tractor.
