Shannon

Shannon

Instructor
Shannon is the assistant director of Mathnasium of Walnut Creek. She holds an Associate’s degree in mathematics and a bachelor’s degree in statistics from UC Davis. She is passionate about forging connection with students and helping them address math challenges. Her favorite aspect of working at Mathnasium is seeing children’s math confidence improve. In her time off, she enjoys running and dancing.

Nick

Lead Instructor
I’m Nick. I received my AST in Biology from Diablo Valley College and am currently pursuing my BS in Biochemistry at CSU East Bay. I love golfing, exercising, and being outdoors. But, in particular I have always had an interest in teaching. I love helping people make sense of things and seeing them get excited about learning. I plan on one using my experience as a tutor to one day become a teacher.

Krishna

Krishna is a sophomore at UT Austin’s Health Science Scholars Honors Program, studying biology. He who enjoys teaching and learning. Outside of school, he loves playing tennis and listening to music.

Maddie is a Senior at Northgate High School where she is a student mentor and loves to help students with their math homework. Her favorite subjects are Calc BC and AP Chem. In her free time she plays the piano and enjoys volunteering as a cabin leader for fifth grade outdoor education sleep away camp.

Ahmed

Instructor
Ahmed is a Senior at Northgate High School. He loves to work with kids and his favorite school subjects are math and chemistry. He plans on pursuing a math related career, as he believes that math is essential to our world and that it encourages logical reasoning and mental rigor. He also enjoys playing tennis, coding, hanging out with friends, and going on runs.
