Our specially trained math instructors will teach your child how to understand math in an individual setting; our unique approach enables us to explain concepts really well and lend a helping hand to every student. Bailey W., Instructor
Bailey is currently a freshman at Grand Canyon University working towards her Bachelors of Elementary Education. In High school, Bailey was enrolled in Geometry Honors, Pre-Calculus Honors, Calculus AB, along with Probability and Statistics. Not only is Bailey an excellent tutor but she also achieved a score of 710 points, out of 800 points, on the math portion of the SAT. In addition, she achieved a 29 out of 36 on the ACT. Bailey says the best part of working at Mathnasium is seeing students gain more confidence in their math abilities. In her free time, she enjoys puzzles, going for runs with friends, and watching soccer.
Andrew M., Instructor
Andrew Maw is currently a senior at Arizona State University and is majoring in Computer Science. He has taken many math courses throughout his college career including three calculus courses, discrete mathematics, linear algebra, statistics, geometry, and the theory of computer science. Andrew is also a member of the Honors College with a 4.0 GPA. He will be graduating at the end of the year and beginning a career in Software Development. Andrews hobbies include playing video games, enjoying live music, and learning about math and science. Andrew makes math fun and finds great joy in seeing students as they grow during their time at Mathnasium.
Joella E., Instructor
Joella Edwards is a high school sophomore at Deer Valley High School and is currently enrolled in Pre Calculus Honors. Joella participates in student government and is active in theatre at her school. When Joella is at Mathnasium she enjoys tutoring kids of all ages.
Mathew N., Instructor
Mathew is currently a senior at Mountain Ridge High School. He is taking AP statistics and sharing his knowledge with the students at Mathnasium. He will attend college with a major in Business. Mathews hobbies include playing basketball and other sports for fun. He was also apart of his High school baseball team.
Theresa C., Instructor
Theresa is a student at Arizona State University. She is currently on track to receive her Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. She enjoys seeing the students at Mathnasium get excited about math. When Theresa is not in school or studying she loves to draw and explore with her Lab puppy named Precious while on hikes.
Katelynn J., Instructor
Katie is a student at Glendale Community college. She will be transferring to Arizona State University with a major in Mathematics. She not only tutors students at Mathnasium but at GCC. She tutors college students in various math classes including Algebra, Geometry, Statistics, Trigonometry, and Calculus. In her free time, Katie enjoys playing with her puppy named Grey and watching horror films.
Katelyn S., Instructor
Katelyn is a student at BASIS Peoria and is taking math classes including AP Calculus. Katelyn is looking forward to moving into the medical field. She is in the National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, and the National Speech and Debate Association. She has been tutoring students of all ages since elementary school. Katelyn's hobbies include playing the piano and spending time with her family.
James L., Instructor
James attends Herberger Young Scholars Academy. One of his favorite vacations was traveling to Atlanta for the National History Bee. In his downtime he plays guitar to relax and either soccer or volleyball with his friends for fun. He also has four dogs to keep him busy!
