Julianne Watts

Executive Director
Julianne has a degree in Elementary Education. She spent time in the classroom and then decided to work in the private sector as a tutor. She joined the Mathnasium family in Dec 2011 as a Director to help run the centers. During her employment here, she has been the Membership Director for all three centers and has been the Center Director of each center for seasons of time. Julianne loves math and working with children to help them achieve academic success. She has two daughters, Joelle is 12 and Joanna is 7. In her spare time, she enjoys playing card and puzzle games, spending time with her family, and binge watching her favorite shows.

Molly

Assistant Director
School/Major: Molly is a recent HS graduate who will be going to LSU. She will be dual majoring in mathematics with a focus on secondary education and computer science with a focus on data systems and analytics Favorite Math Class: AP Statistics (shoutout to Dr. Price!!) Hobbies/Interests: I enjoy horseback riding, reading, pottery, and playing video games (specifically Minecraft and Valorant). I am a huge Swiftie, but I’m always open to new music too! An Interesting Fact About Molly: I have a pet axolotl named Colonel Mustard! Why she likes working at Mathnasium:I love the kids. Whether they’re struggling and don’t want to be there or ahead of their class and eager to learn more, I believe that every student can do well if they’re taught the right way. It’s super rewarding to see how they make connections and finally understand concepts that may have seemed impossible before.

Salma

Assistant Director

School/Major: Austin is in college pursuing a Software Engineering degree Favorite Math Class: College Calculus Hobbies/Interests: I like to hang out with my friends in public like going to the mall or bowling. An Interesting Fact About Austin: I actually ended up taking Calculus I two times, once in high school and once in college Why he likes working at Mathnasium: I enjoy working at Mathnasium because it has a great work environment and it gives me a place to use my skills to help others.

Aseel

Instructor
School/Major: Aseel is enrolled at LSU. His major is Chemical Engineering. Favorite Math Class: College Algebra Hobbies/Interests: I like to study Philosphy, Religion, and History. I also like to play Video Games. An Interesting Fact About Aseel: I have 7 sets of Jenga Why he likes working at Mathnasium: Teaching and engaging with the students plus the snacks

Princess

Instructor
School/Major: Princess is still in high school but is doing the dual enrollment option, so she is taking some college level courses. She plans to major in Biological Sciences in college. Favorite Math Class: So far, Princess' favorite math class is college Algebra Hobbies/Interests: I like to read and dance. I also like to make bracelets in my free time. I am interested in science, more specifically, the anatomy of the human brain. An Interesting Fact About Princess: Some interesting facts about me is that I have the same birthday as Abraham Lincoln and I am Nigerian. Why she likes working at Mathnasium: I like working at Mathnasium because I enjoy working with kids and getting to know them along with watching them learn, grow, and advance in their progress with math.

School/Major: Layla is a senior at RPCC's high school early college options Favorite Math Class: Geometry Hobbies/Interests: Painting, reading, gaming, poetry, jewelry making An Interesting Fact About Layla: I used to have a bouncy ball collection. She also made a perfect score on her ACT exam! Why she likes working at Mathnasium: I like to see how the students develop a joy for math and get excited when they understand a concept, plus I like math general.
