Meet the Team at Mathnasium of Atascocita

Elana Daigle M.Ed

Elana has dedicated her professional career to helping students reach their “ah ha” math moments, and she is driven by the life-changing confidence that math skills give students. Elana taught seventh and eighth grade math for more than ten years and has been a Master Mathnasium instructor for the last eleven years. She especially enjoys promoting achievement-oriented (but fun!) environments that promote success. Elana holds a Master’s Degree in Math Education and has been a mentor for Region V Educational Services of Texas.

Nikole Ortiz

Nikole has an Associates Degree in Education Administration and Behavioral Sciences. She's pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Business and Software Engineering. With over 20 years in education and 4 years in administration, Nikole is a dedicated advocate for quality education. She co-owns businesses with her husband and together they raise their pre-teen daughter. Nikole is excited to join Mathnasium to promote the love of math and learning among her students and staff!

Caleb Myott

Caleb Myott has a bachelor’s degree in economics from Louisiana State University. During his time at LSU he was heavily involved with the Department of Residential Life and Education in his role as a Resident Assistant. It was from this role that Caleb developed a love for education and customer service. While in college Caleb often tutored fellow students in calculus, algebra, trigonometry, and statistics. This experience led Caleb to become a math instructor at Mathnasium following graduation and eventually Center Director. Through his passion for both math and education Caleb hopes to make math make sense for everyone!

Kay Jaynes

Kay graduated from Lee Jr. College in 1993 with an Associates degree in nursing. For the past twenty years Kay has worked at Billy's side in several businesses handling the administrative functions. She is responsible for building relationships with the schools, teachers, and people in the local community on behalf of Mathnasium. Kay is committed to partnering with the local community to increase children’s math skills, their understanding of math concepts, and their confidence in their ability to be successful.

Larry Martinek

Larry is the Developer of Mathnasium Program and has spent his entire career finding a better way to teach math. From inner city to public schools, to acclaimed magnet schools, to leading private and parochial schools, Larry has served as both a classroom teacher and as an educational consultant. He has designed curriculum, teaching strategies, and teaching materials designed to help students and teachers learn math more effectively. He has trained teachers in the art and science of boosting student’s ability to “do” math, thereby increasing student’s math scores and feeling of self-worth. Larry is the developer of Mathnasium’s educational program – one of the most comprehensive and innovative curriculums ever produced for teaching math. While Larry is not an Instructor at our Center, He is a valuable asset we can call on to ask about specific students scenarios for guidance and advise. This has helped to make visits more productive and enjoyable for many of our students.
