Math may not seem like the most exciting thing to offer up to a bored kid, but if your child is struggling in the area, then getting in some extra help during the summer may be just the ticket. "The Mathnasium Method" was developed by Mathnasium founder Larry Martinek and his son, Nic. Martinek's goal is to teach math to kids "in a way that makes sense to them," which has become the corporate mission statement. The company has centers world-wide and has been featured in the Wall Street Journal.
