Anna

Instructor
Anna is a senior at Orange High School currently taking Multivariable Calculus. She is very passionate about math and science, some of her favorite classes having been AP Calculus BC and AP Statistics. Anna loves working with and teaching others, and participates in the peer tutoring program at her school, as well as student teaching classes at her synagogue on weekends. Anna also enjoys being a part of Orange's Lionettes Drill Team and playing cello in her school orchestra and CYO. After graduation, Anna plans to major in Biochemistry on a Pre-Med track. Favorite Math Joke: Never get into an argument with a 90 degree angle, they're always right!

Garrett

Instructor
Garrett is a recent graduate from Davidson College, where he received his B.A. in Economics and Pre-Medicine. Having struggled with math as a child, he is passionate about helping every student understand mathematical concepts. When Garrett is not at Mathnasium, he is working as an EMT and applying to medical school. He enjoys playing hockey, food, and spending time with his friends and family. Favorite Math Joke: What did the 0 say to the 8? Nice belt!

Neel

Instructor
Neel is 3rd year undergraduate student at Case Western Reserve University studying Biochemistry, Psychology, Spanish, and Public Health. He loves math and, ever since he was a young child, has participated in math competitions that have taken him outside the city and even the state. In his free time, Neel is frequently solving the latest Sudoko or telling a cheesy math joke to a friend. He also dabbles in data science as a hobbyist. Favorite Math Joke: Why did I divide sin by tan? Just cos.

Armaani

Instructor
Armaani is a student at Aurora High School where she takes honors and AP mathematics courses. She has a passion for STEM with a focus on mathematics. She has five years of experience with robotics. Armaani has previous experience tutoring students and truly enjoys helping them learn new concepts. She loves solving problems and working with numbers, but most importantly, she loves to share this passion for math with Mathnasium students. She also enjoys reading, writing, dancing, and music. Favorite Math Joke: Did you hear about the mathematician who is afraid of negative numbers? He’ll stop at nothing to avoid them.

Jacob

Instructor
Jacob is a Cornell University student studying physics. He loves to learn about many subjects, math included, and thinks teaching is one of the best ways to learn. Jacob likes to discover why math works the way it does and enjoys watching students come to similar discoveries. He rowed crew at Shaker Heights High School and likes to work out. Favorite Math Joke: Negative 8 is one of my favorite numbers, but 8 is my absolute favorite number.

Ava

Instructor
Ava is a student at Case Western Reserve University. As a biology major, she loves both learning and teaching science and math-related subjects. She is passionate about not only helping people solve problems but understanding how they work and how they can be applied to real life. In her free time, she enjoys reading books and skating. Favorite Math Joke: Why did the chicken cross the Mobius Strip? To get to the same side

Becky

Instructor
Becky is a Sophomore playing basketball at Ursuline College. She is an exercise science and education major with aspirations of getting her doctorate and becoming a Professor. She loves working with kids and helping them grow in their confidence and knowledge of many subject areas. She is a firm believer, in that, if you work hard enough you can achieve anything! Favorite Math Joke: Why do plants hate math? Because it gives them Square roots!

Matthew

Instructor
Matthew is a Hawken Upper School student taking Precalculus BC. He has participated in local and national math competitions such as the AMC 10, OML, the OCTM, the OHMIO (the round after the OCTM), and the ARML, an international team mathematics competition. Additionally, he participated in the national ASA Data Representation competition, where he created a poster on simulating U.S. elections using Python, a coding language. When not studying math, he enjoys playing piano, learning Spanish, and running cross country. Favorite Math Joke:Two math teachers and a statistician go hunting. They spot a deer, and one math teacher shoots way to the left while the other shoots way to the right. Statistician: "We got him!"

Niranjan

Instructor
Niranjan, a senior at Orange High School is enrolled in Multivariable Calculus. He has loved math ever since he was a kid and some of his favorite classes have been AP Phsyics C: Mechanics and AP Calculus BC. He believes that learning can be made fun, no matter what the topic is. As a prospective Computer Engineering major, Niranjan enjoys problem solving. He also plays Piano and Cello and participates in the robotics club at Orange High School. Favorite Math Joke: What did the triangle say to the circle? You’re pointless.
