John

Center Director

John is the Owner and Center Director at Mathnasium of Bel Air. Prior to opening his Mathnasium center, John worked in the wireless industry for close to 20 years and in the environmental industry prior to that. John graduated from The Baltimore Polytechnic Institute and attended CCBC and Messiah University. John has 2 kids who have been homeschooled. He is very active in the community and is an advocate for adoption. John has a love for math and a desire to help kids understand and enjoy math and be better prepared for life.

Donna

Assistant Director

Donna has homeschooled her 2 kids and has been tutoring math for over 30 years. Donna is a graduate of CCBC and majored in Math at Towson University. Donna has worked for CCBC and was in the banking industry prior to that. Besides her love for math, Donna is very active in the community and enjoys her family time. Donna loves to help others understand and achieve mastery of math and finds it very rewarding to see her students achieve their goals. Many of her students have returned later to express to her the impact that her instruction has had on them.

Grace

Lead Instructor

Grace has her BA from UMBC where she has tutored STEM courses. She has taught in a Karate school for several years and has tutored Math and Science for The Dundalk Campus of the Community College of Baltimore County where she received her AA degree.

Danielle

Instructor

Danielle has a BS from Towson University in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry and Bioinformatics. While in college, she also did cancer research.

Karl

Instructor

Karl has his BA in Philosophy from Catholic University of America. He also has studied Engineering, Mathematics and Chemistry.

Our Mathnasium Mission

Teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it. Math can change their lives, and they can change the world.

What I love about Mathnasium is the ability to teach problem-solving skills and make math make sense, while also making a student smile.
