General Covid-19 Question

Oct 17, 2020

What is Physical (Social) Distancing?

Social distancing, also called “physical distancing,” means staying at least six feet away from people who do not live in the same household as you. This is about the length of two grocery shopping carts. It’s not possible to tell at a glance if someone has COVID-19. People can spread the virus to others for two days before they feel sick. Some people with COVID-19 never get symptoms but can spread it without knowing it.

Any social, family, or workplace gathering is high-risk for getting and spreading this deadly virus!

Should I wear a face mask or cloth face covering?

Wearing a mask (or cloth face covering) is now required statewide. Masks can help stop the spread of COVID-19 by limiting the release of virus into the air.

According to health experts, it’s very important to wear face masks every time you leave your home. Masks can reduce the spread of COVID-19 by those with no obvious symptoms. And, wearing masks protects our front line and essential workers too.

A mask is only effective if it covers both ways you breathe, so cover both your nose and mouth when outside your home. Don’t wear it under your nose or just on your chin.

Always remember that you must follow these guidelines jointly and at all times: wear a face mask, wash hands, keep your distance, and avoid gatherings.
