May Student Spotlight: Lizzie
May 12, 2019
This month we feature Lizzie! We can always count on her beasting through her assigned work with style.
Todd: How does it feel to be student spotlight?
Todd: What do you like about Mathnasium?
Lizzie: I like that the instructors always have different ways to explain things if I don’t get one way. There are almost always at least three different ways to think about a problem.
Todd: What is the favorite thing we do here?
Lizzie: I loved the Game Night. It was fun to talk to and get to know other students who go here who might go to different schools. The board games were fun.
Todd: What’s your favorite topic in math?
Lizzie: I like ratios. I find them easy. And they’re useful for a lot of problems.
Todd: What do you like to do outside of school?
Lizzie: I like to draw and play with my animals. I like that drawing is a creative outlet.
Todd: What do you want to do in life?
Lizzie: I want to run a café/bakery with my friend Jordan. We always wanted to have a job together. She likes the idea of being a barista, but I like baking. We both want to write so we can sell books there.
Todd: What do you want to write about?
Lizzie: I want to write children’s books. I like a lot of things, but probably a lot about animals.
Todd: Speaking of animals, tell us more about the new addition to your family
Lizzie: We got a chihuahua. He is between 3 and 5 years old. We don't know exactly because he’s from a shelter. His name was originally Gucci but we decided to name him Dobby because he has big floppy ears. We have cats but there hasn’t been any bad experiences between them.
Stay tuned for weather related closings.
