Our specially trained math instructors will teach your child how to understand math in an individual setting; our unique approach enables us to explain concepts really well and lend a helping hand to every student. Our tutors foster a caring, encouraging environment that helps kids thrive and learn! Read below to learn more about our talented team:
Matrice Williams, Owner
Matrice is a wife and home-schooling mother of three amazing children, Mela, Christian, and Trinity. She is an attorney by training but realized early on that her true passion and God-given talent lies in teaching, as evidenced by her teaching in both the elementary and university settings. After being introduced to Mathnasium by a friend, she and her husband, David, decided to open their own! In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends.
I love Mathnasium because: We teach math to our students in a loving and supportive environment, in a way that makes sense to them. Our focus is on them truly learning and understanding the subject, ultimately getting to that "A-ha!" moment!
Jennifer Gattis, Center Director
Jennifer is a wife and homeschooling mom of three children and step-mom of one. She is an accountant by trade but loves math and teaching all levels of math.
I love Mathnasium because: I get to help kids every day gain success and confidence in math!
Dr. Audrey Urling, Senior Instructor
Audrey has a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Duke University and has taught at both Duke University and Alamance Community College. A mother of two Eagle Scouts, she loves teaching and feels that no child should be held back by a fear of Mathematics. She enjoys watching anime and reading, is interested in sustainability and renewable energy and has been an instructor with Mathnasium since April 2016.
I love Mathnasium because: I love seeing students have that Eureka! moment when the confusion clears and is replaced by a smile!
Beverly Trollinger, Instructor
Ryan Koonts, Instructor
Ryan Williams, Junior Instructor
Ryan is a recent homschool graduate who is born and raised in Alamance County. Ryan is also proud to be an Eagle Scout. He loves camping and spending time outdoors. He plans to one day be a swordsmith.
I love Mathnasium because: I was once the student who was very shy and did not know much about Math. I enjoy helping students overcome their math challenges just like I did!
