I wanted to let you know the extraordinary steps that we have been taking to keep our families safe, and also what we expect of you and our other Mathnasium parents.
The primary symptoms of this coronavirus are fever and a dry cough. Do not bring your child to centre if they have either of these symptoms. We are all going to have to work together to stop the spread of this virus.

Our centre has implemented the following measures to prevent the transmission of coronavirus:
- Instructors have been forbidden to come in to work if they have a fever or a cough.
- Students are asked to wash their hands as they enter the centre.
- Posters have been placed in the washrooms with hand washing reminders.
- Each student will be given their own pencil to use, which they can keep in their binder.
- Instructors will no longer shake hands with students or give them high-fives.
- Every table and chair will be disinfected as each student leaves the centre, and at the end of the day.
- Two High quality Air Purifiers will be installed in centre over this weekend. The tower air purifier is complete air cleansing system that provides multiple levels of cleaning, including captures up to 99.99% of airborne particles such as dust mites, debris, mould spores, as well as a UV-C lamp to enhance germ-killing.
Maintaining Mathnasium as a safe learning environment is our top priority. I am confident that we can prevent the coronavirus from spreading from student to student at our learning center, and we will do our utmost to ensure that this does not happen.
As the virus spreads in our community, schools shut down, it is likely that some of our students and parents may need to self-quarantine due to contact with someone who has the virus. If that becomes necessary in your family, do keep in mind that we can switch your child to our new Mathnasium@home online program, so that your child's Mathnasium instruction will be unaffected.
Please stay tuned for more information on Mathnasium@home online program.
If your child develops a fever, even from another illness, we can also do Mathnasium@home online lessons while they recover -- just let us know. If you have any questions about our coronavirus response, please do not hesitate to ask.
* At this moment, Centre will be still open regularly. *
