Financial Literacy Program

Numerical Fluency Program

Grade 1-9: Following the Ontario Provincial Curriculum students will learn financial literacy. Grades 1 to 9, including understanding the value and use of money over time, how to manage financial well-being and the value of budgeting.

A Summer of Geometry

Grade 8 & above: Most students struggle with word problems. Algebraic problem solving will teach students problem solving skills and algebraic reasoning. Topics covered include Linear modelling, Advanced Rate problems, and Uniform Motion problems. Students will also work on consecutive integers and mixture problems.

Grade 8 – 10: Geometry skills is an important subject matter area for all students taking math. Students will study all critical areas of geometry and strengthen their knowledge and skills. Topics covered include Line and Angle properties, Congruence and similarity, Perimeter and area, Pythagorean Theorem, Surface Area & Volume, Coordinate Geometry, transformations and much more.

Grade 8 & above: Students will learn about Frequency tables, Scatter plots, Normal & Standard deviation, Tables & Rate of Change and interpreting graphs.

All Grades: Student who spent all of last year at Mathnasium getting ahead. Now students can use the summer to stay ahead and not lose or forget all the great learning the received.

Grade 8 – 9: Completing grade 8 is a milestone. High school brings new challenges. We will get students ready for grade 9, assessing grade 8 skills and developing lessons to catch up, get ahead and get ready for grade 9.
