Do you love reading? We do! In fact, sometimes we use math as part of our reading. This week’s word problem challenge brings together these two subjects in a wonderful way! Can you use your elementary school math skills such as multiplication and division to help Michael figure out how long it will take him to read a very long book?

Take your time thinking about it. Be sure to come back tomorrow to check your solution against ours!

Question: Michael is reading a book that is 3,600 pages long. It’s a very long book, but Michael can read very quickly. If Michael reads 240 pages per day, then how long will it take him to finish the book?
