What does it take to be a Brag Board Star, and how can students earn this recognition?

A Brag Board Star is a student who, throughout the month, completes the highest number of mastery checks at their level, earning the chance to showcase their dedication and progress at Mathnasium.

How to Become a Brag Board Star:

✨ Commit to Regular Attendance – Studies show that consistent math practice helps reinforce learning by moving information from short-term to long-term memory. Attending sessions frequently allows students to complete more work, leading to steady progress.

✨ Achieve Mastery – Mastery Checks are the final step of each prescriptive, serving as a mini quiz that students complete independently to demonstrate their understanding of a concept. The more Mastery Checks completed, the closer a student gets to earning Brag Board recognition!

✨ Complete Prescriptives – Prescriptives are structured learning materials tailored to each student’s needs. These packets range from 8 to 25 pages, gradually increasing in difficulty and concluding with a Mastery Check.

Competition Levels:

Brag Board Stars are recognized within their grade categories:

• Lower Elementary (K-3)
• Upper Elementary (4-6)
• Middle School (7-9)
• High School (10-12)

Brag Board Stars earn five cards, which can be redeemed for exciting prizes!
