What is a Brag Board winner? And how does one earn this title?
A Brag Board Winner is a student who, over the course of a month, completes the most mastery checks for their level, earning the right to โbragโ about their progress and success at Mathnasium.
How to Become a Brag Board Winner:
โ Commit to Attendance โ Research shows that frequent and consistent math sessions help transfer information from short-term to long-term memory, reinforcing concepts. Regular attendance also allows students to complete more work, leading to greater progress.
โ Complete Mastery Checks โ A Mastery Check is the final page of a prescriptive that students complete independently to demonstrate proficiency in a concept. It serves as a mini quiz to test understanding and retention. The more Mastery Checks completed in a month, the better the chance of winning!
โ Work Through Prescriptives โ A prescriptive is a set of materials focused on a specific concept, tailored to a studentโs needs based on their assessment results. These packets range from 8 to 25 pages, gradually increasing in difficulty. The final page is always a Mastery Check.
