Hannah, Center Director
Hannah grew up in California but after finishing her Sophomore year of college she decided to move to South Africa to teach mathematics. She ended up teaching in Johannesburg for four years. While in South Africa her love for both math and teaching grew exponentially. Helping children understand math was the highlight of her time overseas. When she’s not at Mathnasium Hannah enjoys swimming, baking, and being outdoors.
Matthew Ross is an instructor at Mathnasium of Calabasas. He graduated from Principia College with a B.S. in Physics, and during the course of studies degree, he indulged in several math classes which further reinforced his passion for mathematics. One of his favorite things about teaching others is when they have their A-HA moment and fully understand a topic. Outside of education, He enjoys playing video games with his friends, cooking, watching sports, and the occasional run.
Giovanni, Lead Instructor
Giovanni is a Junior studying Computer Science at CSUN. He has always been interested in math and has been tutoring kids since the 10th grade. He enjoys programming, and, both independently and with others, has worked on several projects, including a short computer game and an object detecting robot. In his free time, he enjoys programming, biking, playing video games, and watching YouTube.
Aaron is a Senior year college student at California State University, Northridge where he’s currently studying Computer Engineering. In his free time Aaron enjoys rock climbing whether indoor or outdoor. He’s very passionate about helping younger students have a strong understanding of mathematics in order for them to excel in their future.
Alisa is a senior at Calabasas High School. As a child, she was a student at Mathnasium which furthered a passion she has always had for math. She has been tutoring math since 9th grade and witnessing the light bulb that goes off in a child’s head and the confidence they feel when they finally understand a difficult concept never gets old. When she’s not in school, Alisa enjoys hanging out with her best friends, doing makeup for school productions, and baking.
Kimberly goes to Los Angeles Pierce College and is majoring in Pure Math. She hopes to transfer to University of California, San Diego next year. In her free time, she likes to play with her dog, Coffee or play the piano or violin with her friends.
