Bruce Buckler

Bruce Buckler

Owner / Managing Director
Bruce holds a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership, and has taught in the Hillsborough County School District. He has additional certification in teaching English For Speakers Of Other Languages (ESOL) and extensive experience in working with Exceptional Student Education (ESE), Gifted students (AGP), and IB school curricula. Bruce and his wife Carol realized that opening a Mathnasium center would allow them to combine their love of children and math while providing a valuable service to the community. Their goal is to help children enjoy math and realize the potential that math skills can unlock.

Carol Buckler

Owner
Carol is a Certified Public Accountant and currently works in public accounting. She also spent 15 years in the Construction industry as a CFO. She shares Bruce’s vision to create a solid mathematical foundation for students along with the confidence that it brings for success in school and life. She helps the center with outreach activities

Gaby

Instructor
Gaby is currently a senior in high school. She is taking AP Calculus BC and math is her favorite subject! After graduation Gaby plans on attending college in order to study aerospace engineering. In her free time Gaby enjoys going to the beach and playing pickle-ball.

Ryan

Instructor
Ryan grew up in Florida and is currently a junior at the University of South Florida. He is majoring in Biology and plans to pursue a master's degree in Marine Biology after he completes undergrad. His research interests include sharks and other large marine animals. In his free time Ryan enjoys playing the guitar and video games with his friends.

Sofia

Instructor
Sofia grew up in Miami and moved to Tampa for college. She is currently a sophomore at the University of South Florida studying nursing. Sofia loves working with children and hopes to be a pediatric nurse one day. She enjoys spending time with her kitties, Zara and Armani!

Madison

Instructor
Madison is currently a senior in high school and is a part of her school's IB program. Following graduation she will be attending Columbia university where she plans on studying mechanical engineering. In her free time Madison enjoys crocheting as well as playing volleyball and flag football.

Grace

Instructor
Grace is currently a junior in high school, she is a part of her school's IB program and taking AP Calculus this year. Grace is also on her school's soccer team. In her free time she enjoys staying creative with hobbies such as painting and drawing. In college Grace plans on majoring in math.

Trieu Vy

Instructor
Trieu Vy is a freshman in college and took Calculus last semester. She is interested in fields such as biology, math, and chemistry. Trieu Vy is a dog person who enjoys trying new foods and traveling. It may be controversial but she thinks math is easier than reading!

Our Mathnasium Mission

Teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it. Math can change their lives, and they can change the world.

What I love about Mathnasium is the ability to teach problem-solving skills and make math make sense, while also making a student smile.
