Elementary School Summer Math Programs
Numerical Fluency: no more counting one-by-one! We teach efficient techniques to master basic addition and subtraction facts starting with the ten fundamental prerequisites. We then layer on word problems, thinking in groups and more to ensure retention.
Multiplication Fact Fluency: memorizing the standard 12x12 multiplication table will only get you so far. We teach scalable strategies based on solid mathematical thinking skills including count-bys, repeated addition, commutativity, and launching points.
Fractions: we love fractions! Our program provides a preview and/or refresh of key fraction concepts including naming / drawing fractions, mixed numbers, improper fractions, wholes and parts, and comparing /ordering fractions.
Word Problems: a crucial skill for long-term success in math. Our extensive Problem Solving curriculum builds confidence through the mastery of techniques for proportional reasoning, fractions, algebraic thinking, and more.
We don’t know what the new school year will bring, we do know it will be a challenging adventure. But math doesn’t have to be! Let’s use this summer to get ahead in math.
