Cool Careers: Cloudy With a Chance of Math-balls

Sep 17, 2018 | Cave Creek

Meet Danielle Gersh, who went from being a young equestrian interested in how the weather affected her horses to a meteorologist and television weather forecaster!

“Growing up, I always loved observing weather patterns, but I was never fully aware of the correlation between meteorology and math. Had I known, I definitely would have studied harder in school!”

- Danielle Gersh

Find out more about how she uses math, technology, numerical weather patterns, and supercomputers to forecast our weather - a force of nature that remains relatively unpredictable even with all the technology. You can find the rest of the article on the Mathnasium Number Blog.

If you're interested in the weather and climate (the average of the weather over time and space), there's more you can do besides broadcasting! Check out all of these specialties and see if any of these interest you!

Meteorologist and television weather forecaster Danielle Gersh shares meteorological specialty careers.
