Our Team

Our specially trained math instructors will teach your child how to understand math in an individual setting; our unique approach enables us to explain concepts really well and lend a helping hand to every student. Our tutors foster a caring, encouraging environment that helps kids thrive and learn! Read below to learn more about our talented team:

Yatin, Center Director

Yatin was born in Artesia, CA and grew up in Cerritos. He went to Cerritos High School and graduated with High Honors. From there, Yatin attended the University of California, Irvine, and graduated with a B.S. in Chemistry. Math has always been one of his favorite subjects, and he still enjoy it to this day. That is why Yatin loves helping students in math and seeing them become more enthusiastic about the subject.  Yatin has been with Mathnasium of Cerritos since September 2013 and has come to love the Mathnasium Method. He has seen how it helps to describe mathematical concepts to students in a way that makes sense to them. 


Josh, Assistant Director

Josh is currently attending Vanguard University in Costa Mesa. He has a passion for math, and loves sharing that passion with the students at Mathnasium. He is proud to be an eagle scout, and he enjoys watching movies, going to the beach, and exploring Orange County with friends.






Whitney, Assistant Director   

Whitney is from Sacramento, CA and is finishing her degree at Biola University in Multidisciplinary Education and Special Education, with two additional minors. She is also working on her Special Education teaching credential. Whitney has been tutoring students for over 6 years, and loves watching kids' "breakthrough" moments when they finally understand the concept they've been stuck on. In her free time, Whitney loves reading, spending time with friends, and going to the beach.  


Stacy, Assistant Director

Stacy graduated from Cerritos High School and received her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from California State University, Long Beach. She is also currently attending CSULB for her Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. Stacy is a retired synchronized team skater and she enjoys traveling to new places. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, especially with her young nieces. She hopes to teach elementary school in the ABC Unified School district in the near future. 

 Anh, Lead Instructor

Anh graduated from University of California, Riverside with a bachelor in Chemistry. She currently pursues her interest and career in Computer Science. She enjoys working with kids and has participated in several summer camps teaching kids from math to team building skills. On weekends, she enjoys walking on the beach with her grandma, bouldering, and volunteering at local communities & organizations.



Amanda, Lead Instructor 

Amanda grew up in Cerritos and graduated from Cerritos High School. She then attended University of California, Santa Cruz, and graduated with a B.S. in Molecular, Cell and Developmental Biology. During her time in college, she started tutoring Calculus 

for the university, and learned that she loved making math easy to understand and accessible to her students. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, drawing, and spending time with her family.


 Allisun, Instructor

Allisun is from Big Bear, California.  In high school, she began tutoring her peers in subjects like Algebra 2.  Through that experience, she found that she really loves helping others succeed in math.  She currently attends Biola University as an Applied Mathematics Major.  When she is not studying, she enjoys visiting her family or taking spontaneous road trips with friends. Allisun plans to teach math in the future.

Anisha, Instructor

Anisha was born in Downey and grew up in Cerritos. After attending Cerritos High School, she went on to University of California, San Diego and graduated with a B.S. in Biochemistry, and Psychology minor. She enjoys teaching math and loves helping students approach it with confidence. She loves reading, going to baseball games (go Dodgers!), doing crafts/DIY projects, and traveling.


Marco, Instructor  

Marco graduated from California High School in Whittier California. He is currently attending California State University of Fullerton, working on a bachelor’s in teaching mathematics. Marco plans to become a math teacher after graduation and wants to pursue his masters in math to become a college professor. In his spare time he loves walking and playing around with his dog Lula, building computers, and playing video games. He has been a tutor for almost 2 years now and loves collaborating on math problems and watching students learn something new.

Eunice, Instructor

Eunice graduated from Gahr High School in Cerritos, California. She will be attending Cal State Long Beach for her undergraduate program in Mechanical Engineering and Business Administration. She enjoys helping students understand and master hard concepts. During her free time, she loves dancing, hiking, boba runs, and traveling to new places with her family and friends.
