Math in the Park 2023

Get your kids moving and thinking this summer! Join us on the third Tuesday of each month at Lake Susan Park for our Math in the Park event series. Each standalone event will include a fun featured activity that can be modified for any age and ability level. Activities are geared towards kids ages 5-12, and all children must be accompanied by an adult.

This event is presented in partnership with Chanhassen Parks & Recreation.

Participation in each event is free! Pre-registration is encouraged, but NOT required to participate in Math in the Park events. REGISTER HERE

Time: 6-7:30pm

Ages: 5-12 + parents

Dates:

o Tuesday, June 20th: Kite Festival

§ Create and fly your own miniature kite. Work on your own or with a parent and see how long your kite can fly.

o Tuesday, July 18th: Penny Boat Challenge

§ Using the materials provided, build a boat and see how many pennies it can float. Compete for a chance to win a prize for the strongest boat!

o Tuesday, August 15th: Adventure Race

§ Work your way through fun math adventure stations, testing your skills and learning new things.
