Math Momentum--the Key to Continued Math Success

Dec 3, 2020 | Bowie

Do you know the feeling when you're on a roll? When you did something you couldn't do before? It happens the first time you understand a native speaker of a foreign language (in my case my mother-in-law speaking spanish), when you finally drive a stick shift without killing it, or when you finish a jog without stopping from a side ache. These accomplishments may be small, but they build confidence, they get you ramped up for more and excited about what else you can conquer.

In the case of Mathnasium students, this feeling comes when they understand how to find the circumference of a circle or why two negatives make a positive. These small lightbulb moments build on themselves and give students the momentum they need to continue learning new, more challenging math concepts. If your child could use some Math Momentum in their life, let us know, and we'll be glad to help.
