Mathnasium of Collegeville hosted this year's Math Kangaroo competition on the 18th of March, 2021 at the math learning center. Math Kangaroo is an international math competition that is held in 77 countries on the third Thursday of March. There are 6 levels of participation from grades 1 through grades 12. As a response to COVID-19, parents were provided the option to either register for the live Math Kangaroo 2021 event or have the student take the test online. The live event was hosted at the Mathnasium center for students from the area, including mathletes from Mathnasium of Collegeville and other advanced students from the area.
Each student received a T-shirt, an electronic certificate for participation, and a gift. The results of the competition will be announced in May 2021 and the students who rank top 20 in the nation and top 3 in the state are recognized on the Math Kangaroo website and will receive awards, recognition, and gifts.
We are grateful for all students who participated this year and we look forward to providing more opportunities to keep our advanced students engaged in the coming years.
