Becoming a Mathnasium instructor is more than an employment opportunity. At Mathnasium, we know that math can change kids’ lives, and they can change the world. More than simply helping students succeed in school, Mathnasium instructors set our students up for life-long success by building their number sense, boosting their confidence, and helping them gain a deep understanding of math.

What We’re Looking For

We always welcome applications from exceptional candidates. The ideal Mathnasium instructor is motivated and responsible, has excellent math skills, and is passionate about helping kids. Your job responsibilities will include creating a positive, engaging learning center environment, learning and implementing the Mathnasium curriculum and teaching methods, and participating in ongoing training.

  • Consistent, flexible schedule; 8-12 hours/week on average (preference to those able to work during our peak times (5 pm to 7:30 pm Monday through Thursday) Weekend hours are also available.
  • All work is in the center - no lessons to plan or homework to assign
  • Pay varies with the level of education and experience

Job Requirements

  • You must have a high school diploma and some college math courses.
  • You must plan to work with us for at least 6 months
  • Math proficiency through middle school including Algebra 1 preferred.
  • Able to effectively communicate math concepts
