Welcome to your first session at Mathnasium of Dadeland!

Feb 28, 2021 | Dadeland

Hello! We heard you’re ready to get ahead in math. You’re in luck, you’ve come to the right place!

We have everything you need for your first session. Remember the assessment you did not too long ago? We looked closely at those results to help us learn what you already know and what we can teach you. We have chosen a few topics to start with today.

I’ll get your papers for you and we’ll go meet your Instructor for the day! Your Instructor will get you signed in, ask you our exciting Question of the Day, and ask if you have any homework you would like to do with us today. Your Instructor will help you with your homework towards the end of the session. We will start with the topics we have chosen for you. For each page you complete, your Instructor will add a stamp to your card. The cards you earn can be exchanged at the end of your session for a prize from the reward cabinet - or - you can save your cards. Our reward cabinet is always being updated so check it often for new items!

Looking around the center you might recognize friends and classmates. There are a lot of kids from Coral Gables, Coconut Grove, Brickell, and Key Biscayne schools that attend Mathnasium every week! While you’re looking around the center, you’re invited to check out the Estimation Station. This is a chance to put your brain power to work and a chance to win extra cards! (check out Pi the Pig placing his guess above!)

Your Instructor will sign you out at the end of your session, just as they signed you in at the beginning. Keep in mind, you may not work with the same Instructor every session, but you will always have the same excellent Mathnasium experience!

While you wait for your parents, check out the monthly calendar of fun activities or chat with the other students. The calendar will list all of the opportunities there are this month to earn more cards!

Congratulations! We are so proud of you for starting your journey to get ahead in math! We’ll see you at your next session, Mathlete!
