Anand Pitre, Owner / Director

Anand has been an Information Technology professional for over 25+ years where he spent time in software development, sales, and marketing. He worked at large global corporations like IBM and Oracle (where he was Vice President) for over 20 years. He is a graduate in Computer Science & Engineering from BIT India and holds a certificate in Executive Leadership Management from Cornell University. Anand believes that business success comes from building long-term relationships with one’s customers. He used those principles to build a $50 million business unit from scratch in the enterprise software and services space. Anand is thankful to that one teacher in school who instilled in him a lifelong love for math. He firmly believes that the Mathnasium Method of teaching strong foundational math concepts is THE way to foster this love for Math that he himself experienced as a child.

Priya Pitre, Owner / Director

Priya is an account management executive with several years of professional experience in the Marketing & Advertising industry. She holds a Masters’ Degree in Communication and Journalism and has independently handled the communication needs of major clients while working at global advertising agencies like Draft FCB. She took a sabbatical from her career to raise two children. She has a good understanding of the Florida school system and has been actively involved in their children’s education as a school volunteer and Math lab coordinator. She believes that sound math education should start from an early age, and it has been no different with her own kids. A few math enrichment centers later, she stumbled on Mathnasium. Suddenly, math made a lot more sense and looked like a place where the kids love to go. The strength of the Mathnasium curriculum that teaches for understanding rather than rote memorization, convinced her that Mathnasium is the right way to unlock the potential for math that exists in every child.
