Sumeet Vasu

Owner
Sumeet Vasu, owner/Center Director of Mathnasium of East Northport, is a tech enthusiast and former CTO at an investment bank. His passion for seeing kids succeed stems from his own struggles with math during his formative years. With dreams of becoming a pilot, he had to let go of that passion due to math challenges. Discovering Mathnasium, his mission became clear: ensure no child feels compelled to abandon their dreams because of math. He's committed to changing perspectives, fostering a love for math, and making kids smile with newfound confidence.

Leah Devoe

Hi! My name is Leah and I am a senior at Kings Park High School. I am on Varsity Kickline, Vice President of the Math Club, Editor in Chief of the Kaleidoscope Magazine, and a Co-President of the National Art Honor Society. When I was younger, I attended Mathnasium in the summer, and now, I love tutoring math.

Hi! My name is Isabell. I am a senior at Northport High School and am an International Baccalaureate Candidate. In my free time I like to volunteer for the National Honor Society.

Matt Kelly

Hi I’m Matt I’m a senior at Kings Park High School. I run cross country and am the co-president of the Trivia Team. I love math and have taken every math class I can in school. I enjoy helping the students in our center

Alissa Patane

Hi my name is Alissa and I go to Commack High School. I’ve always enjoyed helping children with their studies so Mathnasium is a perfect fit. I also play tennis and run track.

Christos Sarris

my name is Christos Sarris and I’m a senior at Kings Park high school. I am the president of the Kings Park Robotics, coding and Math teams. I like to listen to all kinds of music and am interested in computers. I have built 2 computers and am passionate about helping others with their math.

Jack Preisler

My name is Jack Preisler and I’m a senior at Kings Park HS. I play the drums in all of my school bands and am one of the presidents of our Trivia Team. I’m lucky to be one of the people here at Mathnasium sharing my love of math with others

Our Mathnasium Mission

Teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it. Math can change their lives, and they can change the world.

What I love about Mathnasium is the ability to teach problem-solving skills and make math make sense, while also making a student smile.
